Jaguar TCS Racing will give two rising stars of international motorsport a chance to shine when Juju Noda and Bryce Aron take part in the ABB FIA Formula E Rookie Test at Madrid’s Circuito del Jarama on 22 March.
The test follows Round 6 of the 2025/26 ABB FIA Formula E World Championship, where Jaguar TCS Racing’s Mitch Evans and António Félix da Costa will compete at the historic Spanish circuit for the first time. The 3.934km venue makes its race debut in Formula E this season, having previously hosted pre-season testing in 2024.
Jaguar TCS Racing arrives in Madrid in impressive form. The team has secured three consecutive podium finishes, including race victories for Evans in Miami during Round 3 and for da Costa in Jeddah during Round 5. It is currently the only team on the grid to have seen both drivers stand on the top step of the podium this season, a performance that places Jaguar second in both the Teams’ and Manufacturers’ championship standings.
Following Saturday’s race, attention will turn to the next generation of talent as Noda and Aron take the wheel of the Jaguar I-TYPE 7 during the official Rookie Test. The session offers emerging drivers valuable experience in Formula E machinery while giving teams the opportunity to evaluate future prospects.
Noda returns to Jaguar TCS Racing after previously working with the team during the Formula E Women’s Test in Valencia last November. The Japanese driver has built a reputation as one of motorsport’s most intriguing young talents, having begun karting at just three years old before testing single-seaters in Japan by the age of nine.
Her competitive breakthrough came in the 2019 Lucas Oil Winter Race Series before she delivered a standout campaign in the 2020 F4 Danish Championship, where she secured her first race win and finished sixth overall. Since then, Noda has continued to progress through the international single-seater ranks, competing in both the W Series and Euroformula Open while developing a reputation for speed and technical maturity.
In 2024 she made history by becoming the first Japanese woman to compete in Super Formula, Japan’s premier single-seater championship, joining TGM Grand Prix for a landmark season. Her return to the Jaguar TCS Racing environment in Madrid represents another important step in her growing career.
Aron arrives with equally strong credentials. The 22-year-old American is currently racing in the Indy NXT championship and has steadily built momentum across several junior categories in recent years. In 2025 he competed with Chip Ganassi Racing after an impressive rookie season with Andretti Global in 2024 that produced two podium finishes and eight top-ten results.
His earlier career also includes a standout campaign in the 2023 Euroformula Open Championship with Motopark Academy, where he secured three wins and five podiums to finish fourth overall despite missing the final three races. Aron has also taken victories in both the Formula Regional Oceania Championship and the GB3 Championship, and became the first American driver to record top-five finishes in the Walter Hayes Trophy Grand Final.
For Jaguar TCS Racing Team Principal Ian James, the Rookie Test is an opportunity not only to assess emerging talent but also to build on the strong momentum the team has established early in the season.
“Over the past few races, the team has shown pace and resilience and turned that into strong results,” said James. “That means that Madrid, which also marks António’s 150th start in the Championship, has the potential to be a particularly exciting moment in the season. We’re determined to continue building on the foundations we’ve laid.
“We’re also proud to be supporting the next generation of racing talent with both Juju and Bryce, who have already demonstrated exceptional ability and professionalism in their careers. This Rookie Test gives them a valuable opportunity and we’re looking forward to welcoming them to Circuito del Jarama and seeing how they take on this next step.”
Noda described the opportunity as another major milestone in her development as a driver.
“I’m very grateful to Jaguar TCS Racing for giving me this opportunity,” she said. “Testing the Jaguar I-TYPE 7 in Valencia last year was a fantastic experience, and the support and feedback from the team helped me grow a lot as a driver. To now take part in the official Rookie Test in Madrid is a big moment for me, and I’m excited to learn as much as I can and show what I’m capable of.”
Aron also welcomed the chance to work with one of Formula E’s front-running teams.
“I’m really looking forward to joining Jaguar TCS Racing for the Rookie Test in Madrid,” he said. “With Formula E being a professional World Championship, I’m excited to have the chance to work with a team performing at such a high level. It’s a huge opportunity for me and I will be looking to learn as much as possible from the engineers and drivers while making the most of every lap.”
The Rookie Test takes place on Sunday, 22 March, one day after the Madrid E-Prix begins at 15:05 CET on Saturday, 21 March.
