Pretoria, South Africa, 16 February 2026 – Jaguar TCS Racing delivered a historic and dominant performance at the Jeddah E-Prix, as António Félix da Costa converted a third-place grid start into a commanding victory, marking his 13th career Formula E win and the 24th for Jaguar, solidifying the team as the most successful in the championship’s history.
The first double-header event of the season saw Jaguar TCS Racing achieve a two-podium weekend, with Mitch Evans delivering a stunning recovery drive from P13 to finish seventh. Both drivers executed flawless race strategies, maximised energy management, and executed decisive overtakes in a weekend that showcased precision, teamwork, and championship-calibre performance.
Starting third, da Costa engaged in clean yet competitive racing at the front, carefully managing energy while maintaining a strong pace. A perfectly timed ATTACK MODE deployment mid-race allowed him to seize the lead, building a decisive gap that extended beyond three seconds by the finish. This triumph marked da Costa’s first victory with Jaguar TCS Racing, and a Jaguar powertrain 1–2 was completed as Sébastien Buemi finished second for customer team Envision Racing.
Mitch Evans’ performance was equally impressive. From P13, he strategically deployed ATTACK MODEs to surge into the top eight, executing overtakes and conserving energy to secure P7 at the checkered flag. Evans’ drive underlined the depth and resilience of Jaguar TCS Racing’s driver line-up.
António Félix da Costa reflected on the milestone: “What a day. The car felt fantastic, the strategy was spot-on, and once I got into the rhythm, I knew we had the pace to fight for the win. To take my first victory with Jaguar TCS Racing — and to help the team become the most successful in Formula E history — is something I’m really proud of. We’re building something strong here, and I can’t wait for what’s next.”
Mitch Evans added: “Massive congratulations to António and the whole team — that was a mega win. From my side, it was a strong race coming through the pack, and we maximised what we had with good energy management and well-timed ATTACK MODEs. Seeing Jaguar make history with its 24th win is really special.”
Team Principal Ian James praised the weekend’s results: “Today is a hugely significant moment for Jaguar TCS Racing. António drove with precision to a well-deserved win, Mitch delivered a strong points finish, and the team executed at an exceptional level. Two wins in the last three races and a double-podium weekend show the consistency we’re building. We’ll carry that energy forward as we continue to push for more.”
The results have shifted championship standings, with Mitch Evans remaining fifth in the Drivers’ World Championship and da Costa rising to seventh following his first win with the team. Jaguar TCS Racing now holds second place in both the Teams’ and Manufacturers’ World Championships.
Jaguar TCS Racing will continue its campaign at the inaugural Madrid E-Prix on 21 March, where da Costa will celebrate his 150th Formula E race, as the team looks to maintain its championship momentum.
