Pretoria, South Africa – 07 July 2025 – Jaguar TCS Racing has confirmed that Jamie Chadwick and Leonardo Fornaroli will take part in the official rookie test for the ABB FIA Formula E World Championship, scheduled for Monday, 14 July at the Tempelhof Airport circuit in Berlin. Held directly after the double-header Berlin E-Prix (Rounds 13 and 14), the test offers rising talent a rare opportunity to experience the cutting-edge performance of the GEN3 Evo race car.
Widely regarded as the UK’s most successful woman in motorsport, Jamie Chadwick returns to the Jaguar TCS Racing setup for her third outing in the team’s all-electric I-TYPE 7 car this season. The three-time W Series champion has been making headlines in 2025, having claimed victory in multiple European Le Mans Series events for IDEC Sport in the LMP2 class and recently making her debut at the 24 Hours of Le Mans.
Chadwick previously took part in both the women’s test in Madrid and the rookie free practice session in Jeddah, demonstrating her versatility across racing categories and strengthening her credentials in electric motorsport.
“It’s a pleasure to team up with Jaguar TCS Racing once again for the rookie test in Berlin,” said Chadwick. “I’m hugely grateful for the opportunities I’ve had to drive the Jaguar I-TYPE 7 this season, and I’m eager to get back on track and continue learning with the team.”

Joining Chadwick is Italian rising star Leonardo Fornaroli, who will be making his debut behind the wheel of a Formula E car. Currently enjoying a standout rookie campaign in FIA Formula 2 with Invicta Racing, Fornaroli sits fourth in the championship standings following a maiden win at Silverstone and a string of podium finishes and pole positions.
The 2024 FIA Formula 3 champion, Fornaroli is widely viewed as one of the most exciting talents on the international single-seater ladder. His upcoming test in Berlin will mark his first taste of the GEN3 Evo car and the unique challenge of Formula E’s tight and technical street circuits.
“It’s a privilege to mark my first official test in Formula E with Jaguar TCS Racing,” said Fornaroli. “It’s going to be a new challenge, but one I’m looking forward to. Working with the reigning world championship team is a fantastic opportunity, and I’m excited to take on the Tempelhof circuit.”
James Barclay, Team Principal of Jaguar TCS Racing, expressed his confidence in the duo:
“The rookie tests are an important part of our development programme and a key opportunity to introduce emerging talent to the pinnacle of electric racing. We’re thrilled to welcome Jamie back – she’s had an exceptional season in sportscars and has shown her adaptability and determination throughout.
“We’re equally excited to bring Leonardo into the fold. His results in Formula 2 and his F3 title win last year speak volumes about his capabilities. We’re looking forward to seeing both drivers showcase their skills in Berlin.”
As Jaguar TCS Racing continues to lead the charge in Formula E’s electrifying new era, the inclusion of Chadwick and Fornaroli in the rookie test reflects the team’s commitment to developing the next generation of elite racing talent. The Berlin rookie test promises to be a defining moment for both drivers as they gain invaluable insight into one of motorsport’s most innovative and competitive categories.
