Pretoria, South Africa – 08 January 2026: Jaguar TCS Racing returns to the ABB FIA Formula E World Championship this Saturday, 10 January, as Round 2 heads to the vibrant Autódromo Hermanos Rodríguez in Mexico City. The 2.63km circuit, famous for its electric atmosphere and passionate fans, promises another thrilling chapter in the 2025/26 season.
Following a challenging season opener in São Paulo, where both António Félix da Costa and Mitch Evans showed impressive pace yet were denied points by on-track incidents, Jaguar TCS Racing is focused on turning performance into podium finishes.
Mitch Evans, driver #9, reflected on the upcoming race: “São Paulo was a challenging opener, but it was great to be back racing and to feel the competitiveness of the Jaguar I‑TYPE 7. Now all eyes are on Mexico City – it’s one of everyone’s favourite locations on the calendar. The atmosphere there is second to none, with incredible fans and a circuit that always delivers exciting racing. I can’t wait to get back out and push for a strong result.”
Félix da Costa, driver #13, echoed the sentiment: “São Paulo was a tough way to start my journey with Jaguar TCS Racing, especially as we had the pace to fight for the podium. Circumstances went against us, but the positives are clear – we were strong in qualifying and had great pace in the race. That gives me confidence heading into Mexico. I’m excited to get back in the car, push hard, and hopefully turn that performance into some points for the team this week.”

Team Principal Ian James emphasised the team’s focus: “Round one reminded us of two things: the strong potential of our car and the unpredictability that defines Formula E. That combination is what makes this championship so compelling. As a team, we’ve reset quickly and are focused on Mexico City, where we’ll look to convert our pace into points. It’s a venue that always showcases the very best of Formula E, and we’re ready to take on the challenge.”
This season marks Jaguar TCS Racing’s tenth campaign in Formula E, with technology proven on the track transferring directly to the next generation of Jaguar all-electric road cars, previewed by the Jaguar Type 00.
Fans can catch all the action live as Round 2 of the 2025/26 ABB FIA Formula E World Championship gets underway at 14:05 CST (GMT –6) on Saturday, 10 January.
