Munich – The BMW Group closed 2025 with a solid performance, highlighting growing global demand for electrified vehicles. The company delivered a total of 2,463,715 vehicles, marking a modest 0.5% increase compared to the previous year. This growth was driven in particular by electrified models, which saw deliveries rise 8.3% year-on-year to 642,087 units, including 442,072 fully-electric vehicles (BEVs). Europe proved to be a particularly strong market, with fully-electric vehicle sales surging 28.2%, reinforcing BMW’s leadership in the premium electrified segment.
Electrification Momentum
Electrified vehicles now account for 26% of BMW Group’s total sales worldwide, with fully-electric models representing around 18%. “In 2025, in a challenging environment, the BMW Group sold more vehicles than in the previous year. Our electrified vehicles were in particularly high demand. Europe reported especially strong growth, with battery-electric vehicles accounting for about a quarter of total sales,” said Jochen Goller, Board Member of BMW AG responsible for Customer, Brands, and Sales.
BMW’s technology-neutral strategy and broad multi-brand portfolio continue to resonate with customers, enabling growth even as demand in China remains subdued. Looking ahead, BMW is on track to meet EU CO₂ fleet targets for 2025 and will introduce more than 40 new and revised models with various drive options by 2027, including updates to the BMW X5, 3 Series, and 7 Series.
