BICESTER, United Kingdom (November 20, 2025) – Broad Arrow Auctions, a Hagerty company (NYSE: HGTY), is set to redefine the online collector car and motorsport memorabilia market with the launch of Global Icons, a pioneering three-part online auction series scheduled for January 2026. With live preview opportunities planned across multiple UK and European locations, the auction promises an unprecedented blend of accessibility, variety, and historical significance.
A first-of-its-kind concept for Broad Arrow, Global Icons comprises three separate sales: Global Icons: Europe Online and Global Icons: UK Online, which will feature pre-war, post-war, and modern collector cars, and Global Icons: Memorabilia Online, showcasing approximately 100 lots of rare and historically important motorsport items.
“Global Icons introduces an exciting new auction format to our clients,” says Joe Twyman, VP of Sales for Broad Arrow’s EMEA region. “Over the past two years, our expansion across the UK and Europe has allowed us to offer consignors and bidders an online experience that combines broad reach with hands-on engagement. Collectors will have the opportunity to preview and inspect many of the cars alongside a Broad Arrow specialist at multiple hub locations across the continent and the UK. We look forward to sharing further details on these events soon.”
A Celebration of Iconic Collector Cars
The auction’s car selection will span a wide spectrum of historically significant vehicles, chosen for their cultural, technological, or brand-defining impact. Early highlights include a spectacularly original 1971 Lamborghini Miura P400 S, chassis no. 4809, with an estimate of €1.600.000 – €1.800.000. One of only around 338 Miuras produced, this late-production example was delivered new via Tenerife dealer Vela Murillo and features vented discs and factory air conditioning.
Having led a glamorous early life in the Canary Islands, the Miura passed into Swiss ownership in 1998 and underwent a meticulous restoration between 2006 and 2011. Finished in period-correct Giallo Miura with Nero leather, it retains its matching-numbers V12 engine upgraded with SV-type split-sump lubrication. Fresh from a major 2025 service valued at over CHF 15,000, chassis 4809 is offered in exceptional condition with a detailed history file, embodying one of Lamborghini’s most celebrated supercars.
Motorsport Memorabilia to Enthrall Collectors
The Global Icons: Memorabilia Online auction will feature items linked to motorsport legends including Ayrton Senna, Michael Schumacher, Sir Stirling Moss, and Sir John Surtees. From racing suits to historically significant artifacts, collectors will find rare pieces that celebrate the sport’s rich legacy.
