Humax EV Charging has teamed up with Rightcharge to deliver a smarter, more transparent, and scalable home charging solution for UK fleets. By integrating the Humax MX7 Vehicle-to-Grid ready charger with Rightcharge’s payments platform, the partnership creates a seamless ecosystem for business, fleet, and company-owned vehicles, ensuring accurate reimbursement and clear separation between business and personal charging.
Traditional home EV charging reimbursement has often relied on estimates or trust, leaving businesses exposed to ‘grey’ charging costs when personal vehicles are inadvertently charged on company accounts. The Humax MX7 addresses this with advanced vehicle identification using ISO 15118-compliant PLC technology. The charger instantly recognises a vehicle’s unique ID, and if the car isn’t registered for business use, the Rightcharge platform can automatically ring-fence the cost or block the transaction. Fleet managers benefit from improved transparency, accuracy, and control over home charging reimbursements.
Beyond fleets, the MX7 also enhances security for private users. Through the Humax Charge app, homeowners can enable a ‘registered-only’ mode that pre-authorises specific vehicles. Unrecognised vehicles are automatically blocked from charging, with notifications sent directly to the smartphone, preventing unauthorised energy use and keeping the charger secure.
Charger-level vehicle identification is a key advantage of the MX7, allowing a broader mix of vehicles to participate in reimbursement programs. This flexibility enables fleet managers to scale home charging solutions more efficiently across mixed fleets. For drivers, the partnership brings lower costs and greater convenience. Charging at home is cheaper than public alternatives and eliminates time lost at public charge points, while reimbursements are faster and fully automated, leaving no out-of-pocket expenses.

Rightcharge consolidates all public, home, and workplace charging into a single HMRC-compliant monthly invoice. Fleet managers gain complete visibility over costs, usage, and carbon data, reducing administrative burden and supporting sustainability initiatives.
Jeff Kim, president of Humax, commented, “Together, Humax and Rightcharge are redefining how fleets manage EV charging – turning home charging from an administrative challenge into a controlled, transparent and cost-efficient solution. Suitable for organisations of all sizes, the Humax MX7 is intelligent, V2G ready, and purpose-built for fleet operators, enabling more drivers and businesses to benefit from a streamlined, compliant approach to home charging.”
Charlie Cook, CEO and founder at Rightcharge, added, “Humax is a particularly special addition to the rapidly growing lineup of Rightcharge-compatible chargers. Both Rightcharge and Humax share a keen desire to unlock the true potential of electric fleets as revenue-generating assets. We are excited to explore the future of fleet electrification together, from automatic vehicle detection to grid flexibility and V2G.”
The Humax MX7 is designed to simplify energy management, improve operational efficiency, and maximise cost savings. Featuring intelligent vehicle identification, robust hardware, and seamless software integration, the MX7 ensures secure, smart, and scalable charging, with future-proof capabilities to accommodate evolving fleet requirements. By differentiating business and private vehicles, it simplifies billing, improves accuracy in reporting, and prevents unauthorised use, making it a revolutionary solution for modern fleets.
