KGM Motors UK is electrifying the pickup segment with the launch of the all-new Musso EV, the brand’s first fully electric pick-up for the UK market. Designed for both work and lifestyle, Musso EV brings together the rugged strength and heritage of the Musso name with the efficiency of a cutting-edge electric powertrain and the comfort of an SUV, offering a no-compromise alternative to conventional diesel pickups.

Heritage Meets Innovation

Building on more than 55 years of pickup expertise, Musso EV delivers a compelling balance of capability, efficiency, and style. Its 80.6kWh BYD lithium iron phosphate battery provides a real-world range of up to 240 miles (WLTP) and supports rapid charging from 20–80% in just 31 minutes using 300kW DC fast-charging. Advanced Vehicle-to-Load (V2L) functionality allows the pickup to power tools, equipment, or leisure accessories directly from the vehicle, making it as versatile off the grid as it is on the job site.

Kevin Griffin, Managing Director of KGM Motors UK, notes: “The launch of Musso EV represents a major step forward for KGM in the UK, setting new standards for capability and innovation in the pickup market. Its combination of usable electric range, towing and payload capacity, and driver convenience features gives both fleet and private customers a genuinely compelling alternative to diesel.”

Capability Without Compromise

Performance is anchored by a dynamic full-time all-wheel drive system, powered by front and rear 152.2kW motors that deliver 207PS and 339Nm of torque. Musso EV can tow up to 2.3 tonnes and carry a payload of 690kg, reinforced by a load-sensitive, self-levelling rear suspension and robust chassis design. The pickup bed is engineered for versatility, with reinforced partitions and a tailgate rated to hold 150kg—doubling as seating for two adults for outdoor activities.

The intelligent regenerative braking system adjusts across three levels via steering wheel paddles and dynamically optimises efficiency based on gradients, traffic, and even speed cameras, reducing driver effort while maximising range.

Bold Design, Thoughtful Interior

The Musso EV makes a statement on the road. A muscular black grille, LED lighting, pronounced wheel arches, and diamond-cut alloy wheels combine with a sleek body design for a modern, purposeful presence. Six striking colours—Grand White, Amazon Green, Space Black, Ultra Marine, Marble Grey, and Blazing Gold—allow owners to personalise their pickup.

Inside, the cabin exudes SUV-level comfort with a panoramic widescreen integrating a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster and 12.3-inch Athena 2.0 infotainment system. Heated and ventilated front seats with 8-way power adjustment and 2-way lumbar support ensure long drives are effortless, while rear passengers enjoy generous legroom and reclining seats. Practical touches, combined with high-quality materials, make Musso EV an exceptional environment for both work and leisure.

Safety and Driver Confidence

Musso EV’s safety credentials are equally impressive. Its high-strength 78% tensile steel structure, eight airbags, and suite of driver assistance systems—including Adaptive Cruise Control, Autonomous Emergency Braking, Lane Keeping Assist, and Blind Spot Detection—provide reassurance in every journey. A 3D Around-View Monitoring system enhances manoeuvrability in tight spaces, while advanced suspension and AWD ensure stability across diverse road conditions.

Accessible, Efficient, and Affordable

Arriving at participating UK dealers for customer test drives in May 2026, the Musso EV is priced at just £42,495 including VAT. With the £2,500 Plug-in Van Grant (PiVG), and a 4% Benefit in Kind rate for 2026/27, it represents the lowest personal tax charge of any pickup, starting from just £30 per month—making it as smart for business as it is for private use.

Musso EV combines the practicality of a workhorse, the comfort of an SUV, and the efficiency of a fully electric drivetrain—delivering a compelling package for those unwilling to compromise on capability, style, or performance. The era of the electrified pickup is here, and it’s arriving with unmistakable strength, sophistication, and purpose.
