MODENA, Italy (August 20, 2025) – Maserati captivated enthusiasts and collectors alike during Monterey Car Week 2025, commanding attention across the California Peninsula with milestone unveilings, elegant displays, competition triumphs, and a historic auction result. With over a century of Italian racing pedigree woven into its DNA, the Trident brand reinforced its reputation for performance, luxury, and timeless design.
MCPURA Debuts at The Quail
The undisputed centerpiece of Maserati’s presence was the highly anticipated North American debut of the MCPURA Cielo, revealed on August 15 at The Quail, A Motorsports Gathering. Displayed within the Road & Track Lounge, the model represents an evolution of the celebrated MC20, blending cutting-edge performance with refined craftsmanship.
MCPURA enhances its predecessor with lightweight materials, elevated interior finishes, and an evolved design language, yet it retains its most defining characteristic: the 621-hp 3.0-liter twin-turbo Nettuno V6. Available in both coupé and convertible form, MCPURA embodies Maserati’s promise of elegance and raw performance, engineered for direct driver engagement without compromise.
A Showcase at Pebble Beach Concours Village
From August 14–17, Maserati brought its modern Nettuno-powered lineup to Pebble Beach Concours Village for the very first time. Attendees experienced three of the brand’s most defining models:
- GT2 Stradale, the track-bred super sports car
- GranTurismo Trofeo, a coupé uniting performance and grand touring luxury
- Grecale Trofeo, a dynamic SUV redefining Maserati’s presence in the performance utility segment
Together, these models showcased Maserati’s unique balance of Italian design, racing innovation, and everyday usability.

Concept Lawn Elegance and Concours Triumphs
On Sunday, August 17, Maserati returned to the Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance, where the MCPURA Cielo took its place on the iconic Concept Lawn. Finished in the striking ‘Ai Aqua Rainbow’ gloss paint curated by the Maserati Fuoriserie Customization Program, and paired with an Ice Alcantara interior featuring a laser-etched Trident emblem, the debutante sparkled under the California sun as a statement of bespoke artistry and Italian craftsmanship.
Maserati’s heritage also shone brilliantly on the Concours competition field. Two rare classics from 1956 were honored:
- The Maserati 200SI Fantuzzi Open Sports Racer was a Best of Show nominee, secured the prestigious Briggs Cunningham Trophy, and claimed first place in the O-2: Postwar Sports Racing category.
- The Maserati A6G 2000 Allemano Coupé earned third place in the O-3: Postwar Luxury Touring category, further affirming the marque’s enduring elegance.
A Record Auction at the Jet Center
Maserati’s week of triumph reached new heights at the Hagerty Broad Arrow Jet Center Auction on August 13. A 2005 Maserati MC12 Stradale, designed by Frank Stephenson with bodywork by Giorgetto Giugiaro and powered by a Ferrari-derived V12, achieved a historic sale price of $5.2 million USD.
With only 50 examples ever produced, the MC12 remains the fastest production Maserati to date. Its record-breaking sale cements its position as the most valuable modern Maserati ever sold, underscoring the enduring allure of the Trident brand’s motorsport-inspired masterpieces.
A Celebration of Heritage and Innovation
From the elegance of the MCPURA’s debut to the victories on the Concours field and the historic MC12 auction result, Maserati’s presence at Monterey Car Week 2025 marked a celebration of past, present, and future. By honoring its century-long legacy while unveiling the next chapter of its performance lineage, Maserati reaffirmed its place among the world’s most revered luxury automotive brands—an icon of Italian excellence that continues to inspire passion across generations.
