Modena, 14 July 2025 – As the sun set on another spectacular Goodwood Festival of Speed, Maserati bid a thunderous farewell, leaving behind the echo of performance, heritage, and unmistakable Italian flair. Amidst a global gathering of automotive icons, the Trident marque took centre stage, thrilling enthusiasts with adrenaline-charged hillclimb runs, world premieres, and a paddock that radiated the very essence of high-performance luxury.
MCPURA: The Pinnacle of Maserati Performance
The undisputed highlight of Maserati’s appearance was the unveiling of its latest super sports car: the MCPURA. Revealed to global fanfare on Thursday, 10 July, the MCPURA distils the soul of the MC20 into an even more focused, visceral form. Available in both coupé and convertible (MCPURA Cielo) configurations, the new model embodies four pillars of Maserati’s design and engineering ethos: a carbon-fibre monocoque chassis, the groundbreaking 3.0-litre Nettuno V6 engine with pre-chamber combustion technology, dramatic “Butterfly” doors, and—on the Cielo—the segment-defining retractable electrochromic glass roof.
The MCPURA is not just a car; it’s a statement. It represents the brand’s most refined expression of performance, engineering excellence, and Italian artistry to date.

GT2 Stradale: A Sonic and Visual Spectacle
While the MCPURA turned heads, it was the GT2 Stradale that set pulses racing during the legendary Goodwood Hillclimb. With each run, the road-homologated version of Maserati’s track-dominating GT2 car delivered a raw and electrifying soundtrack, thanks to a brand-new racing exhaust system developed by Maserati Corse in collaboration with TubiStyle.
Crafted from lightweight titanium and weighing 7 kg less than the standard system, this new exhaust doesn’t just roar—it sings. Each component is hand-welded to artisanal perfection, mirroring Maserati’s relentless commitment to precision and performance. This mechanical masterpiece enhances the GT2 Stradale’s already razor-sharp dynamics and offers a sound experience that’s as authentic as it is unforgettable.
The GT2 Stradale stands as a bold reminder of Maserati’s motorsport DNA, tracing its lineage back to legendary race cars and reaffirming its future with uncompromising performance and style.
Dual Forces: GranCabrio & MCXtrema Take the Stage
The Hillclimb also saw two distinct interpretations of Maserati performance in action. On one hand, the new GranCabrio showcased dynamic elegance with its Verde Giada exterior, perforated Ice leather interior, and 490 hp Nettuno twin-turbo engine. Capable of reaching 100 km/h in just 4 seconds and topping out at 300 km/h, it offered a refined yet forceful presence—an embodiment of grand touring with a sporting soul.
On the other end of the spectrum, the MCXtrema stunned spectators with its jaw-dropping Blue Xtrema livery. Built exclusively for the track and limited to just 62 units worldwide, this 740 hp monster is the most extreme expression of Maserati’s engineering prowess. With its race-bred powertrain and aerodynamic aggression, the MCXtrema is not merely a car—it’s a purebred machine built for domination.
The Trident’s Year: Celebrating 100 Years of Iconic Design
Goodwood 2025 marked more than just new model debuts. It formed a centrepiece in the Year of the Trident, a global celebration of the logo first designed in 1925. That iconic symbol—bold, noble, and enduring—has graced the hoods of some of the most revered cars in automotive history. Next year, Maserati will honour a century since its first racing victory, when Alfieri Maserati guided the Tipo 26 to glory at the 1926 Targa Florio.
This legacy—of daring innovation, relentless pursuit of excellence, and authentic Italian spirit—was on full display at Goodwood. From the explosive debut of the MCPURA to the raw emotion of the GT2 Stradale, Maserati reminded the world that while its heritage is storied, its future is electrifying.
The Trident has not just returned—it’s roaring into the future.
