Modena, 30 September 2025 – In the heart of Modena, at the Viale Ciro Menotti plant where Maserati has called home for nearly nine decades, a rare and extraordinary delivery took place. Jacques Sicotte, the French nuclear engineer and entrepreneur renowned for his multi-million-dollar collection of classic cars—including the iconic MC12—received one of the 62 MCXtrema units ever built, a fitting addition to his trove of automotive masterpieces.
For Sicotte, the MCXtrema represents more than just a car—it embodies both aesthetics and adrenaline, perfectly suited to an enthusiast who thrives on the thrill of the track. Witnessing the vehicle for the first time at Maserati’s historic headquarters was an experience steeped in the brand’s DNA, celebrating its Italian spirit and extraordinary heritage.
A Bespoke Masterpiece
The MCXtrema delivered to Sicotte is a testament to Maserati’s commitment to personalisation. Drawing inspiration from the MCXlusiva programme, he collaborated closely with the Maserati Centro Stile to create a unique configuration. The result is a striking two-tone matte blue and pearl white livery, accentuated by a bold Trident on the bonnet and his lucky number, 77, emblazoned on the door—a clear homage to the legendary MC12.
Inside, the car exudes the same meticulous attention to detail, featuring a rich palette of dark blue complemented by a suite of dedicated options, including a passenger seat kit, rearview camera, and advanced telemetrics. Every element reflects a “work of art on wheels,” personally crafted by the collector alongside Maserati’s designers.
Engineering Excellence Meets Track-Ready Performance
The MCXtrema is engineered for the uncompromising pursuit of track performance. Powered by a 740-CV (540-kW) 3.0-litre twin-turbo V6 derived from Maserati’s Nettuno racing engine, it stands as the brand’s most formidable track-focused car to date. Extensive virtual testing—over 200 hours in the dynamic simulator and 1,000 hours of virtual analysis—combined with real-world track feedback, ensured that aerodynamics, power delivery, and handling meet the highest standards of modern engineering.
Every aspect of the MCXtrema merges Italian craftsmanship with cutting-edge technology. The Virtual Analysis and Powertrain Calibration teams meticulously honed the car’s performance, ensuring that the exhilaration of the Nettuno engine translates seamlessly from simulation to asphalt.

An Iconic Delivery
The handover was made all the more memorable by Andrea Bertolini, Maserati’s Chief Test Driver and four-time GT world champion, who guided the MCXtrema through its development and simulator sessions. Receiving the car directly from Bertolini underscored the intimate connection between Maserati’s racing heritage and its present-day innovation.
MCXperience: A Club for the ‘Beasts’
Beyond the car itself, MCXtrema owners are invited into the exclusive MCXperience programme, offering tailored driving track days, immersive engagements with Maserati Corse Services, and dedicated after-sales support. Each vehicle arrives with a specially developed racing kit in collaboration with Sparco, blending comfort with high-performance functionality to fully embrace the car’s racing DNA.
The Maserati MCXtrema is not just a car—it is the ultimate expression of Italian ingenuity, track-focused performance, and bespoke luxury, reserved for a discerning few who seek the thrill of the ultimate driving experience.
