The countdown to the world’s most celebrated historic motorsport event is on, and this year’s Goodwood Revival, taking place from Friday 12 to Sunday 14 September, promises to be nothing short of spectacular. With a race list boasting champions from every corner of motorsport, the Revival will once again bring the past roaring back to life — not just with beautifully preserved machines, but with the legendary figures who drove them to glory.
Among the headliners is 2009 Formula 1 World Champion Jenson Button, who will take to the track in a 1962 Jaguar E-Type for the Royal Automobile Club TT Celebration, a race widely regarded as the Revival’s crown jewel. Button, who is currently competing in the FIA World Endurance Championship, joins a rarefied grid that reads like a hall of fame.
Fans of endurance racing will be treated to a masterclass in experience and talent as ten Le Mans legends — with 33 victories between them — descend on the historic Goodwood Motor Circuit. Topping the list is the incomparable Tom Kristensen, affectionately known as Mr Le Mans, with a record-breaking nine wins under his belt. He’ll be joined by fellow icons including five-time victors Derek Bell and Emanuele Pirro, three-time winners André Lotterer, Darren Turner, Dindo Capello, Marcel Fässler, and Romain Dumas, as well as David Brabham and Neel Jani.

Two-wheel royalty will also grace the Revival in the Barry Sheene Memorial Trophy, as World Superbike Champion Carlos Checa returns following his memorable debut in 2024. He’ll be joined by fellow WorldSBK stars Eugene Laverty and Troy Bayliss, alongside an elite roster of Isle of Man TT legends, who collectively hold 70 TT podiums. This includes road racing titans John McGuinness, Conor Cummins, and James Hillier, as well as Josh Brookes, Lee Johnston, and Steve Plater. Also in the saddle will be pioneering female riders Jenny Tinmouth, the current female TT record holder, and Maria Costello MBE, a true trailblazer in the sport.
Touring car fans will be equally well catered for, with British Touring Car Champions Gordon Shedden, Matt Neal, Jake Hill, and Tom Ingram — collectively responsible for 197 BTCC wins — racing alongside World Touring Car Champions Andy Priaulx and Rob Huff. Their presence underscores Goodwood’s unique ability to unite champions across categories, eras, and continents.
From American ovals to the Revival’s tight corners, IndyCar greats will also add their flair. Scott Dixon, with six titles and three Daytona 24 Hours wins to his name, will share the grid with four-time IndyCar Champion Dario Franchitti, and seven-time NASCAR Champion Jimmie Johnson — a rare confluence of American motorsport royalty on British soil.
Commenting on the extraordinary line-up, The Duke of Richmond CBE DL said,
“Every year, we are privileged to welcome some of the world’s greatest drivers and riders to the Goodwood Revival. Drawing on experience from across the breadth of motorsport, these competitors turn their skill and passion to historic racing, often facing rivals they’d never otherwise meet on the track. I’m grateful to them for taking the time to join us over the weekend and look forward to seeing them in action.”
Beyond the incredible racing, this year’s Revival will celebrate two-time F1 World Champion and Indy 500 winner Jim Clark, a track-opening parade of VW Type 2 Split Screens, and a tribute to Alfa Romeo. In a nod to the future, all races will run on sustainable fuel, underscoring Goodwood’s commitment to keeping heritage alive while embracing innovation.
