Johannesburg, 13 January 2026 – Hyundai Automotive South Africa has extended heartfelt congratulations to learners who successfully completed their 2025 National Senior Certificate (NSC) examinations, while offering encouragement and renewed hope to those who did not achieve the results they had aimed for.
This year, approximately 900,000 learners across the country sat for the exams, marking one of the largest matric cohorts in South Africa’s history. The scale of the examinations highlights the importance of collective support for youth development and education.
Stanley Anderson, CEO of Hyundai Automotive South Africa, praised the dedication and resilience of the matriculants. “Today marks a significant milestone for thousands of young South Africans. To those who passed, we congratulate you on your hard work, discipline, and perseverance. Your achievement is a foundation upon which you can build meaningful futures.”
Addressing learners who did not achieve the desired results, Anderson emphasized that one set of outcomes does not define a person’s potential. “There are multiple pathways to success, and continuous learning remains one of the most valuable life skills,” he said.
Hyundai Automotive South Africa underscores its belief that education is a societal responsibility, particularly in promoting literacy and fostering a culture of reading. To date, the company has donated 23 fully equipped libraries to schools nationwide, providing learners with access to knowledge beyond the classroom.
In addition, the company is rolling out its Drive Your Dreams programme, a youth-focused initiative offering practical career guidance and mentorship to help learners navigate their future pathways.
“Access to books and learning resources can change the trajectory of a child’s life,” Anderson noted. “Our libraries initiative and Drive Your Dreams programme are practical demonstrations of our commitment to advancing education and supporting community development.”
Through these initiatives, Hyundai Automotive South Africa continues to champion learning, empower youth, and invest in the country’s future.
