Namesh Govender has strengthened his towing operations in KwaZulu-Natal with the addition of the first 65-ton Hino 700 Series model to his fleet. The 2845 freight carrier has been fitted with a powerful 40-ton winch and dressed in eye-catching, customised Style Towing livery, ensuring it stands out on the roads of KZN.
Operating from Springfield in Newlands West, Durban, Govender has been in the towing business since 2005 and has consistently invested in Hino trucks. “I currently operate two other tow trucks – Hino 814 and 915 models – and over the years I have owned plenty of other Hino’s, including 8-tonners, as well as a Toyota Dyna,” he explained.
Purchased towards the end of 2025, the 700 Series has impressed Govender with its combination of power and fuel economy. He also praised the comprehensive standard safety features, highlighting the model’s suitability for heavy-duty towing. Govender sources and services his trucks through Hino Shelly Beach, ensuring ongoing support and reliability.
The 700 Series tow truck is based on a 6x4 freight carrier and features bodywork built by Transpec in Durban. Its vibrant, standout livery was crafted locally by Artistic Signs and Graphics, giving the truck both visibility and style. The vehicle is operated by Keenan Govender, a dedicated driver who has been with Style Towing for the past two years.
Anton Falck, Vice President of Hino South Africa, noted that the loyalty shown by Govender and his team exemplifies Hino’s global Total Support strategy. “The selling dealers and distributors worldwide build long-standing relationships with their customers and listen to their changing requirements as the logistical environment develops,” he commented.
With the new 700 Series joining the fleet, Style Towing is well-equipped to handle heavy-duty tasks with greater efficiency, safety, and presence on the roads of KwaZulu-Natal.
