Hino Isando, part of the Super Group family, has been crowned Hino Dealer of the Year for 2025, marking the dealership’s second win of this prestigious accolade. The award was presented to Dealer Principal Bobby Pringle at the Sandton Convention Centre, a moment that also represents only the second time in Super Group’s 38-year history that one of its dealerships has achieved this recognition.
Established in 2015, Hino Isando has quickly become one of South Africa’s largest Hino dealerships. Last year, the dealership sold 330 trucks, representing more than 10.5% of the 3 178 trucks retailed by Hino in the local market. As the sole Hino dealership in the Super Group stable, the Isando team has shown remarkable growth in a relatively short period.
Reflecting on the achievement, Pringle credited a renewed focus on the customer experience. “We changed our strategy last year to put even more focus on the customer experience,” he explained. By offering fleet clients the full range of Hino products, service and maintenance plans, and finance facilities, the dealership strengthened its market presence, winning the CEO award from Hino Financial Services with a market share of 40% in 2025. “This approach allowed us to increase our touch points with clients while delivering exceptional service, reflected in our high customer satisfaction scores.”

Pringle also emphasized the role of a motivated and aligned team in the dealership’s success. “Our staff are fully aligned with our business goals, and their dedication ensures consistent growth. Happy, motivated, and highly trained staff are key to the success of our business,” he said. He further acknowledged the guidance of Hino South Africa, including Vice President Anton Falck and his team, for enabling a swift shift to a customer-centric aftersales focus, as well as the leadership of Graeme Watson and the Super Group Dealerships Division for their decisive support.
Leon Theron, Senior Vice President – Sales and Marketing at Toyota SA Motors, praised Pringle’s leadership at the awards ceremony. “Bobby Pringle is a true Hino ambassador, exemplifying the very best of the Hino brand. His exceptional performance, commitment, and dedication to customers played a pivotal role in strengthening Hino’s performance in 2025,” Theron said.
Hino Isando’s win reinforces its position as a benchmark in sales excellence and customer experience, demonstrating how strategic focus, strong leadership, and a passionate team can drive remarkable results in a competitive automotive market.
