Surrey, UK – 16 June 2025 – Celebrated British engineering house Gordon Murray Group (GMG) is poised for a milestone summer as it unveils the first two creations from its newly established Gordon Murray Special Vehicles (GMSV) division at The Quail: A Motorsport Gathering, taking place on 15 August during Monterey Car Week. The momentous debut will mark a new chapter in the Group’s legacy, arriving just as the final T.50 customer cars reach completion.
This summer’s showcase coincides with two key milestones: the conclusion of the 100-unit production run of the acclaimed GMA T.50 supercar and the global unveiling of the inaugural GMSV projects – one an ultra-exclusive customer commission and the other a visionary creation from the GMSV design and engineering team. Though technical details remain tightly guarded until the California debut, both models are expected to embody Gordon Murray’s relentless commitment to lightweight engineering, purity of purpose, and technical artistry.
The End of an Era – and the Start of a New One
Marking the end of an extraordinary era, the final T.50s will be delivered to owners across 19 countries by July’s close. Built at GMG’s Highams Park production facility in Surrey, the T.50 has consistently redefined the modern supercar by championing minimal weight, a naturally aspirated V12 engine capable of revving to an extraordinary 12,100 rpm, and a focus on driving purity rarely seen in contemporary automotive design.
Phillip Lee, CEO of Gordon Murray Group, reflected on this next phase in the company’s evolution:
“We are excited to take our existing customers on our GMSV journey, in addition to bringing new owners into the Gordon Murray family. The Special Vehicles division offers the unique opportunity to realise highly personalised supercars while staying true to our guiding philosophy. These new models are our boldest expressions yet of what driving perfection looks like.”
60 Years of Visionary Design to Be Celebrated at Goodwood
Before the spotlight shifts to California, GMG will commemorate another pivotal moment: Professor Gordon Murray CBE’s 60th anniversary in automotive design. The Goodwood Festival of Speed in July will play host to a stunning retrospective of Murray’s remarkable career, featuring a curated display of groundbreaking road and race cars from across six decades.
From the 1967 IGM Ford T.1 – Murray’s first-ever car – to revolutionary F1 machines like the Brabham BT46B ‘Fan Car’, the all-conquering McLaren MP4/4, and modern-day icons such as the T.50, T.33, and T.50s Niki Lauda, the line-up is both a masterclass in technical innovation and a tribute to design that prioritises the driver above all.

Professor Gordon Murray shared his anticipation for the summer ahead:
“I can barely believe it’s been 60 years of designing and engineering race and road cars. I’m looking forward to celebrating with fans at Goodwood, where we’ll revisit so many pivotal moments. And the following month, we reveal the first fruits of our Special Vehicles division – a pair of supercars that truly embody the spirit of everything we stand for.”
A Vision for the Future, Anchored in Heritage
The creation of the GMSV division signals GMG’s ambition to expand its offering of bespoke, limited-production vehicles that cater to clients seeking not only performance, but uniqueness, engineering purity, and exclusivity. The decision to stagger product rollouts means the next-generation T.33 variants will arrive after the summer’s festivities, allowing full focus on the GMSV debut and 60-year anniversary showcase.
As the automotive world turns its gaze to both Goodwood and Monterey this summer, Gordon Murray Group stands as a beacon of continuity and innovation – one foot rooted in the race-winning legacy of its past, the other confidently stepping into an exciting new era of automotive expression.
