The Drivers of Change initiative celebrates professionals who champion the industry as a welcoming and diverse space, ensuring that talent from all backgrounds can thrive. Luke’s recognition is a testament to his commitment to Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion (ED&I), as well as his proactive efforts to cultivate a culture of acceptance and opportunity within Dacia and the broader Renault Group.
Mark Tisshaw, Editor of Autocar, praised Luke’s outstanding contributions, stating, “All judges were impressed with Luke’s admirable commitment to ED&I and the leading role he has played in the Renault Group in this space over a number of years. He has a proven track record of driving change within his organisation and has made it a personal mission to ensure everyone can feel accepted. His day job is a busy one, yet he has taken the time to organise ED&I events and speakers that really engage his colleagues. He is exactly what this initiative is all about.”

Having started his journey with Renault Group as an intern in 2010, Luke quickly progressed through the ranks, holding senior roles in sales and marketing before taking the helm at Dacia UK in 2021. Throughout his career, he has been a driving force behind meaningful ED&I initiatives, introducing annual Pride celebrations, inviting influential guest speakers, spearheading ED&I meetings, and co-developing inclusion strategies with HR. Additionally, Luke has actively mentored female talent within the organisation, ensuring their voices are heard while embracing the opportunity to learn from their perspectives.
Reflecting on the recognition, Luke expressed his gratitude, stating, “Obviously, I am feeling very humbled to be named as an Autocar Driver of Change. I love working in the car industry, but it’s not just because of the cars, it’s also the people who are passionate about it. It is important everyone has the same opportunity to enjoy a career in this exciting sector and be treated equally. I champion this mindset at Dacia and across the Renault Group.”
Luke’s efforts exemplify how leadership extends beyond business performance, demonstrating that the future of the automotive industry is not only about innovation in engineering but also about creating workplaces where everyone feels valued and empowered. His recognition as a Driver of Change serves as a powerful reminder that true progress is driven by those who lead with purpose, inclusivity, and integrity.
