Dacia, the automotive brand synonymous with affordable mobility and innovative design, is set to welcome a new leader into its ranks. Effective 1 February 2025, Frank Marotte will assume the role of Vice President for Marketing, Sales, and Operations. With this appointment, Marotte will join the Dacia Management Committee and report directly to Denis Le Vot, CEO of Dacia.
A Veteran of the Automotive Industry
Frank Marotte brings over three decades of rich and diverse experience in the global automotive industry. A graduate of the prestigious École Centrale Paris, Marotte began his career at Peugeot in 1993. Over the years, he has held various senior management positions, shaping strategies in both domestic and international markets.
In 2008, Marotte was appointed Head of Product Planning at PSA Peugeot Citroën. In this capacity, he was instrumental in overseeing developments across multiple vehicle segments, driving innovation, and strengthening the brand’s market position.
Marotte’s career took a significant turn in 2013 when he joined Toyota Motor as Director of Product Planning for Europe, Russia, and the Middle East. His tenure at Toyota Motor Europe saw him manage the company’s product portfolio across diverse markets, ensuring alignment with regional needs and consumer preferences. Marotte also became a member of the Toyota Motor Europe Executive Committee, further cementing his influence in the industry.
In July 2019, Marotte was appointed President and Managing Director of Toyota France. Under his leadership, Toyota and Lexus achieved strategic growth in the French market, leveraging innovative strategies to expand market share and enhance customer engagement.
