Many people get caught in the Pre-Christmas trap and buy Christmas gifts at inflated prices to only find out that the “After Christmas Sales” prices are much lower for the same item as in the Pre-Christmas period.
This year at Car Site we planned our Christmas gifts based on the “After Christmas Sales” period. We decided instead of giving expensive Christmas Gifts to friends and family we are going to keep our budget on a no more than $100.00 per gift this Christmas, and instead of giving the normal $250 – $1000.00 per gift, we are going to give expensive New Year gifts and give our family and loved one’s those things that they really wanted on New Year’s day.
We are using the After Christmas Sales period to buy those things that would cost us much more during the pre-Christmas period than on the day after Christmas.
We have also learned from the previous Christmas that it is a good idea to already shop this Christmas for next year’s Christmas by buying wisely during the time right after Christmas day, when almost all goods go on sale and one can easily find the best buys ever.
After Christmas Sales starts, the day after Christmas:
Although prices will still get better in the days right after Christmas, we have learned that the Day after Christmas is the best day to buy popular items. Immediately after Christmas the day after Christmas Sales start and might go until January. However if you are after high quality products, and top sellers it is the best time to buy these things the day after Christmas. If you wait too long these products might disappear from the shelves and you will have to pay the normal price for these products when the stores get stock again.
Online After Christmas Sales Strategy
This year retailers have done a lot to get their web sites to also feature those hot after Christmas Sales items. If you do not want to spend your day after Christmas in the shops, you may want to go the online route and look for the best products online. If you want to compare prices it is also a good idea to use the internet where you can go from Walmart to Apple and Best Buy, Kohls and Target within seconds instead of going from shop to shop which may take you a couple of hours to do, if you had to drive around the snow to these shops!
