Chery has elevated the allure of the Tiggo 4 PRO by incorporating a sophisticated dual-clutch transmission (DCT), alongside significant updates to technology and interiors.

By integrating the DCT, we aim to enhance both performance and efficiency, complemented by fresh technological and interior improvements.”
Feedback from existing owners of the Chery Tiggo 4 PRO revealed a strong interest in a sportier, more fuel-efficient transmission option. This led to the decision to include the DCT in the Tiggo 4 lineup, appealing to those customers specifically seeking this advanced gearbox feature.
The DCT not only provides a more engaging drive suitable for a family SUV but also contributes to fuel efficiency. Tests conducted in China and South Africa have shown that the new transmission can save nearly 0.5 liters per 100 km during rigorous durability tests. Real-world driving in South Africa demonstrated savings of up to 1.6 liters per 100 km, depending on driving conditions and style.
The turbocharged 108 kW engine version particularly benefits from noticeable fuel consumption improvements.
Chery’s dedication extends beyond new products; it also focuses on enhancing the driving experience for existing Tiggo 4 owners. A new software update for the Tiggo4Pro CVT version is currently undergoing tests, with promising early results indicating significant improvements in fuel efficiency. This update will soon be available, underscoring Chery’s commitment to customer satisfaction.
With the new transmission, the Tiggo 4 PRO also receives upgrades in interior and technological features. The redesigned center console, similar to the popular Tiggo 7 Pro, includes extra storage and a 15W wireless charging pad (exclusive to the Elite model), plus a dual-zone touch-screen air conditioning control.
The Elite SE version now boasts a high-resolution infotainment screen featuring offline navigation, RDS radio, and seamless integration with Android and Apple devices through Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.
The introduction of the DCT extends across the Tiggo PRO range, including the 7-speed versions in the Tiggo PRO 7 MAX and Tiggo PRO 8 MAX models.
The new Tiggo 4 PRO LiT DCT is available now for R382 900, while the Tiggo 4 PRO Elite DCT is priced at R415 900. Both models come with a 1 million kilometre/10-year engine warranty, a 5-year/150 000 km general warranty, and a 5-year/60 000 km service plan.
