Warwickshire, UK – Warwick Acoustics has announced the location of its new advanced manufacturing site at the MIRA Technology Park (MTP), Europe’s premier automotive research and development hub. The company, known for its pioneering speaker systems, finalized its first production contract in June 2023 and is gearing up for a significant scale-up in operations.
The new facility will harness 100% renewable electricity, emphasizing Warwick Acoustics’ commitment to sustainability. This initiative is aligned with the installation of a 7MW solar farm by the site’s owners, capable of powering roughly 2,300 homes. The facility’s energy-efficient design and use of upcycled, fully recyclable materials without rare earth elements, underscore its green credentials.

The site will also see a tenfold increase in production capacity, preparing for a surge in automotive industry demand. Additionally, a state-of-the-art design center will support the company’s design and project management teams.
CEO Mike Grant remarked on the expansion, “Our longstanding presence at MTP since 2018 has set a solid foundation for research, development, and initial manufacturing. Moving into series production, we are excited to expand significantly at this location. Manufacturing in the UK not only supports sustainability and quality but also positions us competitively on a global scale in a market worth $8 billion.”
Warwick Acoustics is backed by Midlands-based Mercia Asset Management PLC and the Midlands Engine initiative, benefiting from the region’s rich pool of automotive talent to foster business growth. This development follows a successful £7m funding round aimed at transforming the in-cabin audio experience.
The company’s cutting-edge electrostatic audio panels are now nearing the end of their industrialization phase for initial customers. These panels are 90% lighter and consume 90% less energy than traditional car speakers, challenging nearly a century of conventional speaker design. With eight patented families and two patents pending, Warwick Acoustics is set to redefine automotive audio standards.
