Milton Keynes, UK, 3 September 2025 – The Volkswagen ID. Buzz 7-Seat has been named Best 7-Seater Electric Vehicle at the 2025 What Car? Electric Car of the Year Awards.
The annual awards celebrate standout electric vehicles across multiple categories, with expert judges assessing performance, practicality, and user experience. The 7-seater category placed particular focus on value and functionality for families and larger groups.
Measuring nearly five metres in length, the all-electric ID. Buzz 7-Seat impressed with its generous interior space and flexible configuration. Its extended wheelbase allows for a maximum 2,469 litres of storage capacity, ensuring plenty of room for passengers, luggage, or even bikes. Customers can also choose a six-seat layout for added versatility.
Despite its size, the ID. Buzz retains car-like agility and comfort, making it ideal for family adventures. Powered by an 86kWh battery, it delivers an all-electric range of up to 487km, combining practicality with strong performance. The design, inspired by Volkswagen’s iconic heritage, adds a distinctive retro flair that sets it apart.
