Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles is kicking off the launch of its new Caravelle and California models with the introduction of a number of outstanding finance deals. Available on models registered before 30 September, the new Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles Finance offers make it even easier to buy the bench mark models in the campervan and MPV markets.

New Caravelle: available from £399 a month

With space to carry up to seven people (including the driver) in comfort, the latest incarnation of the Caravelle range offers unrivalled space, versatility and style; it is currently available via a range of finance options including Solutions (Personal Contract Plan) starting from just £399 a month at 6% APR representative for the 2.0 TDI BMT SE 150PS model*.

Launched with the latest Euro 6 compliant engines, the Caravelle has a host of new standard features including BlueMotion Technology, DAB+ digital radio, 5-inch touchscreen infotainment system, Bluetooth phone connectivity and USB connection. Standard equipment also includes Volkswagen’s acclaimed Automatic Post-Collision Braking system, which automatically applies the brakes after a collision, reducing the risk or severity of a secondary impact.

From launch, the Caravelle engine range consists of two 2.0-litre TDI Euro 6 engines with outputs of 150 PS and 204 PS. Available in SE or Executive specification, the Caravelle benefits from BlueMotion Technology modifications, which include low rolling resistance tyres, battery regeneration and Stop/Start systems to reduce fuel consumption and emissions. As a result the new models are up to 20 per cent cleaner and more efficient than the previous generation. For example, the 2.0-litre 150 PS Euro 6 DSG engine has a combined fuel consumption of 47.1 mpg with CO2 emissions of 155 g/km.

New California: available from £359 a month

The California has become the benchmark in the campervan sector and the new version, based on the sixth-generation Transporter, raises the standards even further. The California remains the only vehicle in the class that is designed and engineered in-house with a history dating back over 60 years. Available from £359 per month at 6% APR representative via Solutions (Personal Contract Plan) for the 2.0 TDI BMT Beach 102PS^, the California offers a comfortable and practical sleeping space for four. A fold-out table and chairs are cleverly stored in the sliding door and tailgate, while an optional awning makes for a comfortable and practical camping experience.

The new California is available in two trim levels – Beach and Ocean – and with a choice of three 2.0-litre engines ranging in power from 102 through 150 to 204 PS. All have Euro 6 engines and feature BlueMotion Technology modifications to give fuel consumption and emissions figures which have been lowered by up to 15 per cent. A 4MOTION four-wheel drive version is also offered in conjunction with the 150 PS or range-topping 204 PS power plant.

The new generation California adds a host of safety, comfort and convenience features. These include a Driver Alert System, Brake Assist and an Automatic Post-Collision Braking System, as well as the option to add innovations such as Adaptive Cruise Control, Front Assist and City Emergency Braking for safer and more relaxed cruising. In the cabin the California gains a new ‘premium’ dashboard (optional on Beach) with wide centre console and a car-like feel, plus the latest infotainment system, DAB+ digital radio, Bluetooth and a new multi-function display. A new cup holder as well as new fabrics, leathers and plastics enhance the ambience inside.
