In a dramatic leap forward for the world of hypercars, Hennessey Special Vehicles has introduced its most intense and driver-focused creation to date: the Venom F5-M Roadster. This limited-edition hypercar, which features a six-speed gated manual transmission, delivers an unparalleled driving experience centered around pure, unfiltered engagement with the car’s raw power. With a staggering 1,817 bhp under its hood, the Venom F5-M Roadster has secured its place as the world’s most powerful manual production car.
The Ultimate Driving Experience
The heart of the Venom F5-M Roadster is its six-speed manual gearbox, designed to amplify the tactile thrill of driving. By choosing a traditional manual transmission, Hennessey’s engineers have made a conscious decision to strip away any electronic interference, placing the driver in direct control of the hypercar’s Fury V8 engine. This creates an unparalleled driving experience, combining old-school mechanics with the pinnacle of modern performance.
“Our goal was always to create a manual version of the Venom F5,” said John Hennessey, founder and CEO. “This car is for those who seek ultimate driving engagement. It’s old school, it’s badass, and it delivers a level of connection and thrill that no automatic could ever replicate. The Venom F5-M Roadster offers an experience like no other – a visceral, full-body immersion into the art of driving.”

Engineering Brilliance and Performance
Developing a manual hypercar capable of transferring 1,817 bhp to the road was no small feat. Hennessey’s engineering team, led by Brian Jones, meticulously recalibrated the Venom F5’s engine to work seamlessly with a new set of gearing ratios, balancing raw power with control. This enables the car to deliver explosive acceleration while maintaining precision as speeds climb.
Enhancing the Roadster’s aerodynamics, the vehicle’s exterior has undergone a series of striking modifications. A prominent 55-inch dorsal fin runs from the roof-mounted air scoop to the rear deck, not only adding visual drama but also improving airflow for high-speed stability.
A Unique Hypercar Experience
Hennessey will produce only 12 Venom F5-M Roadsters, each sold at a price of $2.65 million. All units have already been spoken for, underscoring the exclusivity and desirability of this engineering marvel. Each buyer is given the opportunity to customize their car with one-off colors and bespoke carbon fiber treatments, further ensuring that no two models are alike.
Inside the cockpit, the design is centered around the aluminum and carbon fiber gear shifter, set within a six-speed gated transmission that offers precise, physical control. The shifter, machined from billet aluminum, sits as the focal point of the re-engineered interior, which features new horizontal air outlets and jet-fighter-inspired toggle switches for window control.
Nathan Malinick, Hennessey’s Director of Design, explains the philosophy behind the F5-M: “We are distinctly American in our approach, combining wild power with unmatched design. The F5-M is for bold, brave drivers who want a hypercar that thrills and challenges with every shift.”
A Legacy of Record-Breaking Performance
The Venom F5-M Roadster builds on the legacy of Hennessey’s previous record-setting model, the Venom GT Spyder, which still holds the world record for the fastest convertible road car, with a top speed of 265.6 mph. That same spirit of boundary-pushing performance lives on in the F5-M Roadster, promising a driving experience unlike any other.
Though the 12 units have already been sold, Hennessey continues to offer a range of other hypercar models, including semi-auto Venom F5 Coupe and Roadster variants, which enthusiasts can inquire about through the company’s website or authorized dealers.
