Auburn Hills, Michigan – October 14, 2025 — Stellantis has announced a transformative $13 billion investment aimed at strengthening its presence in the United States and reshaping its manufacturing landscape. The bold plan — the largest in the company’s 100-year U.S. history — marks a decisive step toward sustainable growth, technological advancement, and renewed American job creation.
Over the next four years, Stellantis will expand its domestic vehicle production by 50%, introduce five new vehicles across its diverse portfolio, and implement 19 additional product actions. This sweeping initiative will generate more than 5,000 new jobs across key states including Illinois, Ohio, Michigan, and Indiana — reinforcing Stellantis’ position as a cornerstone of American automotive manufacturing.
A Historic Investment for a New Era
“This investment in the U.S. – the single largest in the Company’s history – will drive our growth, strengthen our manufacturing footprint and bring more American jobs to the states we call home,” said Antonio Filosa, Stellantis CEO and North America COO.
The announcement underscores a strategic pivot toward growth in the U.S., with Filosa highlighting that “success in America is not just good for Stellantis in the U.S. — it makes us stronger everywhere.” The company’s renewed focus places customers at the heart of its strategy, promising broader vehicle choice, advanced powertrains, and greater flexibility across brands such as Jeep®, Dodge, and Ram.
Reopening Belvidere: A Symbol of Renewal
At the core of Stellantis’ plan is the reopening of the Belvidere Assembly Plant in Illinois, a site that has long been synonymous with American automotive heritage. A $600 million investment will see the plant revived to produce two new Jeep® models — the Cherokee and Compass — beginning in 2027. The move will create approximately 3,300 new jobs, reestablishing Belvidere as a hub of skilled manufacturing and technological innovation.
Ohio: Expanding the Heart of Jeep Country
In Toledo, Ohio, nearly $400 million will be invested to build an all-new midsize truck, set to join the production lines of the iconic Jeep Wrangler and Jeep Gladiator. Scheduled for launch in 2028, this project will add 900 new jobs and further solidify Toledo’s role as the epicenter of Jeep’s rugged utility lineup.
The investment also continues Stellantis’ ongoing efforts to modernize its Toledo Machining Plant, adding new technologies and strengthening the supply chain for critical components.

Michigan: The Future of SUVs and Electrification
In Warren, Michigan, Stellantis will invest nearly $100 million to retool its Warren Truck Assembly Plant, preparing it for the production of a new large SUV available with both range-extended EV and internal combustion powertrains. Launching in 2028, the model will add another 900 jobs and expand the company’s electrified SUV portfolio alongside existing models like the Jeep Wagoneer and Grand Wagoneer.
Further south in Detroit, Stellantis will inject $130 million into the Jefferson Assembly Complex to produce the next-generation Dodge Durango, debuting in 2029. The new Durango will continue the nameplate’s legacy as a cornerstone of American performance SUVs.
Indiana: The Engine Room of Innovation
In Kokomo, Indiana, Stellantis will produce its all-new GMET4 EVO four-cylinder engine — a critical powertrain for the company’s next generation of vehicles. Backed by a $100 million investment, this move will create over 100 jobs and reinforce Kokomo’s reputation as a global center for advanced engine manufacturing.
A Strengthened U.S. Footprint
With 34 facilities across 14 states, Stellantis’ U.S. operations already play a vital role in the nation’s manufacturing ecosystem — supporting 48,000 employees, 2,600 dealers, and nearly 2,300 suppliers. The new investment plan amplifies this footprint, creating opportunities in engineering, manufacturing, logistics, and supply chain operations.
Beyond the numbers, the initiative reaffirms Stellantis’ long-term commitment to American industry — a blend of technological evolution, workforce development, and regional revitalization.
Looking Ahead
As Stellantis enters its second century, the company is positioning itself not only as a manufacturer but as a leader in mobility transformation. By blending electrification with flexibility, and innovation with heritage, Stellantis is setting the stage for a new era of American automotive excellence — built by American hands, for global roads.
