The all-new Volvo V40 is nearing local shores and due to the high amount of order requests, Volvo Car South Africa (VCSA) has decided to release the pricing and line-up of its gorgeous new five-door five-seat premium hatchback.

VCSA has had to break away from the industry tradition of only releasing pricing and final line-up at launch. According to Bram van der Reep, MD Volvo Car South Africa, “We couldn’t have received a better indication of just how popular the Volvo V40 is going to be. It is such an exciting vehicle for us and we are delighted that the public seem to be equally eager for the arrival of the Volvo V40.”

After its international debut in June this year, the all-new Volvo V40 was immediately heralded by many as the new benchmark in the premium hatch segment. In South Africa, Volvo’s new premium hatch will be available for test drives at all Volvo dealerships from 15 October, and will go on sale from 15 November 2012, but orders can be placed now.

The all-new Volvo V40 is not the only Swede receiving attention at the moment. VCSA is currently running various retail offers on some of its most popular vehicles.

Volvo V40 South Africa

We are currently advertising “Volvo deals with a bite” playing off our recent, and very appropriate, television ad showing a wolf and a Volvo S60 growling at each other (naturally, the S60 intimidates the wolf). According to Marketing Director, Michelle Naudé, “Volvo’s current retail campaign – and all our current marketing campaigns for that matter – perfectly represent what the Volvo brand is all about. We are a human-centric, luxury brand with a sense of humour and our products just offer us so much opportunity to get creative. It’s a really exciting time to be a part of the Volvo brand.”

The most prominent of the offers are on the Volvo S60 (with a Volvo S60 T3 Manual for R3999 per month) and the Volvo C30 D2 Manual Essential for just R3 333 per month. Or you can opt for a full R25 000 to help you set up your perfect XC60 deal. Playful yes – but serious offers nonetheless.

Volvo encourages potential buyers to do their homework, compare the specs and take a closer look at the styling of their potential purchases. And the real question is: When last did you test drive a Volvo? And if you haven’t done so recently, can you be 100% sure that you are making the right choice?
