Renault has taken a confident stride into the future of electric mobility with a comprehensive update to its Megane E-Tech electric and Scenic E-Tech electric line-ups. Now available in three distinct trim levels—techno, techno esprit Alpine, and iconic esprit Alpine—these award-winning EVs offer enhanced style, improved functionality, and impressive value with newly lowered starting prices.

Sportier, Simpler Line-Up Inspired by Alpine

The streamlined range introduces a sportier aesthetic across both models, with design cues borrowed from Renault’s performance-oriented Alpine brand. The esprit Alpine trims set a bold visual tone with exclusive design features, including a matte grey F1® blade on the Megane, Ice Black logos, 20-inch alloy wheels, gloss black window surrounds, and bespoke esprit Alpine badging.

Inside, the Alpine influence is unmistakable. The seats are upholstered in titanium black mesh with blue top-stitching, made from recycled materials, and include six-way electric adjustment with massage and lumbar support for the driver. Matching blue details carry throughout the cabin—from door panels and seatbelts to bespoke carpets—emphasising a driver-focused, premium atmosphere.

Scenic esprit Alpine models also debut a face ID recognition feature, automatically selecting the driver’s profile and preferred seat settings, while both models gain an enhanced rear-view camera for improved visibility.

Enhanced Tech for Everyday Ease

Every version of the updated Megane and Scenic E-Tech electric now comes standard with a host of forward-thinking features that enhance both convenience and performance.

The new One Pedal driving function, standard across all variants, optimises regenerative braking for a smoother, more intuitive driving experience. When lifting off the accelerator, the car decelerates and can even come to a complete stop without pressing the brake pedal—recovering energy while also reducing wear on brake pads. Drivers can fine-tune the braking intensity via steering wheel paddles.

Also now standard is the Vehicle-to-Load (V2L) adaptor, enabling the car’s battery to power external 230V devices—perfect for everything from powering a laptop in the wilderness to brewing coffee on a road trip.

Charging is more convenient than ever thanks to the new Plug & Charge feature, which will soon be compatible with the Mobilize Charge Pass. Plug into any supported charger and the vehicle will automatically authenticate, start the session, and process the payment—no apps or cards required. It’s a seamless solution that aligns with Renault’s vision of effortless electric mobility.

Lower Pricing, Higher Value

Both models also receive welcome reductions in pricing. The Megane E-Tech electric now starts from just £32,495 on-the-road, while the Scenic E-Tech electric opens at £37,195 OTR—both highly competitive figures considering the generous standard specification across the board.

Top-Tier Equipment Across the Board

From the base techno grade upward, both models feature a 12.3-inch driver display and a 12-inch OpenR Link multimedia touchscreen with Google built-in, complete with over-the-air updates, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, and wireless charging. A heat pump improves energy efficiency in all conditions, while advanced driver assistance systems—such as active emergency braking, lane keep assist, and contextual adaptive cruise control—ensure a secure drive.

At the top of the range, the iconic esprit Alpine trims add luxury touches such as a 12-speaker Harman Kardon audio system, a smart rear-view mirror, 360-degree 3D parking cameras, and hands-free parking. Scenic models even offer the innovative Solarbay panoramic sunroof, which can opacify at the touch of a button.

Conclusion: Electric Innovation Meets Everyday Practicality

With a sharper design, enhanced features, and more accessible pricing, the refreshed Renault Megane E-Tech and Scenic E-Tech electric models are primed to appeal to a wide range of drivers—from tech-savvy urbanites to families in search of efficiency and space.

With orders expected to open by the end of April, these electrified Renaults are poised to deliver on both style and substance in the ever-competitive EV landscape.
