Swansea’s Palace Theatre Transformed into a Modern Cultural Hub
R & M Williams Limited has been named Overall Master Builder of the Year 2025, recognised for their extraordinary restoration of Swansea’s historic Palace Theatre. The announcement was made at the prestigious Federation of Master Builders (FMB) Master Builder Awards, held on 26th September at Manchester’s Kimpton Clocktower Hotel.
The Neath-based construction firm earned the top honour for their £10 million transformation of the Grade II listed Palace Theatre, once a derelict landmark. Today, the theatre thrives as a modern workspace and cultural hub, a shining example of heritage conservation fused with contemporary design. The project is a key part of Swansea’s £1 billion city centre regeneration, converting decades of decay into a landmark of Welsh craftsmanship, collaboration, and civic pride.
Isuzu UK Celebrates Excellence in Construction

Finished in Obsidian Grey and fitted with site-ready accessories, including an over-rail liner, towbar, and bespoke ‘Master Builder of the Year’ decals, the D-Max was officially handed over to the winners at the end of October.
