Not to be outdone by the plethora of new cars being unveiled in 2012 and building on its continuing growth, Newspress is announcing two new models of its own.
Auto Express long termer Ross Pinnock will be giving his right foot a well earned rest when he joins Newspress later this month, from his current role as Road Test Editor. While former SAAB, Chrysler and Jeep PR Jackie Allard will join Newspress on 16th April as an Operations Manager.
Making room for Ross will be Chris Thorp, who is heading off to become news and content strategy manager for Nissan in Europe, probably revolving largely around announcing even more new models…
Commenting on his move, Chris said: “Over the past three years at Newspress we have achieved so much, not least re-launching the market leading official automotive news website, growing the media audience by 20% year on year in a competitive market and laying the foundations for an expanding international business. It’s been an exciting time, and I am delighted to have been a part of it. I am pleased to be handing the baton to Ross, who brings fresh eyes and talent to the Newspress team to help it continue to evolve and grow.
“Operating at the centre of the industry and meeting the requirements of both journalists and PR professionals has teed me up perfectly for the challenge of a strategic role within a car manufacturer. I’ll be very sorry to go, but I’m looking forward to new and exciting challenges and opportunities at Nissan.”

Commenting on her new role, Jackie Allard, said: “For me, as a PR for 15 years, there wasn’t a time when Newspress wasn’t there providing a fully effective route to my target media audience, and much more besides. So when the opportunity arose to join Newspress I jumped at it. Just as the market is continually evolving and changing, so is Newspress and we have some exciting times ahead.”
