London, 17 April 2025 – Broad Arrow Auctions, a Hagerty company (NYSE: HGTY), is set to launch its Spring 2025 Memorabilia Online Auction, offering collectors and motorsport enthusiasts an extraordinary opportunity to acquire more than 130 pieces of historic racing memorabilia. The auction will run exclusively online from 21 April to 4 May 2025, with all lots offered without reserve.
Among the highlights are two charity lots donated by racing legend Dario Franchitti, with 100% of proceeds benefiting Race Against Dementia, the global charity founded by Sir Jackie Stewart OBE.
“Race Against Dementia is a charity close to my heart,” said Franchitti. “It’s fair to say that without Jackie, my career and life would probably look very different. I owe him a huge amount and am honoured to offer my personal race kit to benefit this amazing cause.”
The first of Franchitti’s charity lots is a complete 2005 race kit from his time with Andretti Green Racing in the IndyCar Series, where he claimed two wins and four podiums. The kit includes a Sparco race suit, Puma boots, Alpinestars gloves, and other bespoke Nomex layers—all worn en route to a fourth-place championship finish.
The second lot is Franchitti’s race-worn Arai helmet, featuring his distinctive Saltire-and-Tricolore livery and wet-weather modifications. It’s signed on the crown and retains its original radio and hydration setup.

A Sale for a Cause—and for Collectors
The auction stands out not only for its breadth but also its purpose. Proceeds from the Franchitti lots support Race Against Dementia, a pioneering initiative bringing the innovation and urgency of motorsport to the race for a cure. The charity was founded after Sir Jackie Stewart’s wife, Helen, was diagnosed with frontotemporal dementia.
“This exclusive online sale presents one of the finest collections of important and iconic pieces of motorsport history,” said Coles. “We encourage all collectors and enthusiasts to explore the catalogue ahead of the opening day on 21 April.”
