MINI and Paul Smith have unveiled the next chapter in their celebrated collaboration: the MINI Paul Smith Edition. Debuting on the all-electric MINI Cooper Electric, this limited-edition model will soon expand across the MINI Cooper 3-door, 5-door, and Cooper Convertible ranges, blending MINI’s unmistakable character with Paul Smith’s signature design language.
A Collaboration Rooted in Creativity and Craftsmanship
The MINI Paul Smith Edition celebrates a shared legacy of innovation, individuality, and meticulous attention to detail. This partnership traces back to 1998 with the original Paul Smith Classic Mini, and has since continued with standout editions including the MINI STRIP (2021) and MINI Recharged by Paul Smith (2022).

Exterior Design: Classic MINI with a Twist
The MINI Paul Smith Edition offers three exterior paint options, including two exclusive shades. Statement Grey is a modern take on the 1959 MINI Austin Seven, while Inspired White pays homage to the classic Mini Beige. Midnight Black rounds out the palette.
Two roof variants are offered: the bespoke Nottingham Green—honouring Sir Paul’s birthplace—or Jet Black. Matching Nottingham Green wing mirrors and grille accents complement the roof, while the Paul Smith Signature Stripe and gloss or matt black detailing complete the look. The edition also features a puddle light projecting Sir Paul’s handwritten “hello,” a Black/Blue MINI badge, and 18-inch Night Spoke alloy wheels with Nottingham Green centre caps.

Inside, the MINI Paul Smith Edition delivers a refined, playful atmosphere. Drivers and passengers are welcomed with Paul Smith’s handwritten motto, “Every day is a new beginning,” on the door sills, and a hand-drawn rabbit graphic on the front floormats. Tone-on-tone Paul Smith striped patterns subtly enhance the dashboard and door panels.
Vescin sports seats in Nightshade Blue feature the iconic stripes and stitched Paul Smith logo, accompanied by blue stitching across the seats and steering wheel. Key touchpoints—including door handles, speaker grilles, and cup holders—are finished in Dark Steel, unifying the interior design palette.
A History of Bold Collaboration
MINI and Paul Smith’s partnership has always celebrated creative expression. Highlights include the original 1998 Classic Mini collaboration, the 40th anniversary Mini stripe design in 1999, and the MINI STRIP project in 2021, which emphasized sustainable design principles. In 2022, Paul Smith reinvented the original 1998 Mini into an electric vehicle as part of the MINI Recharged initiative, showcasing the seamless fusion of tradition and technology.

Creativity flows both ways. Inspired by the new MINI Paul Smith Edition, Paul Smith will debut a capsule collection of bags that echo key design cues from this collaboration, bridging the worlds of fashion and automotive design.
Pricing and Availability
The MINI Paul Smith Edition is priced from £32,705 OTR, with first customer deliveries expected in Spring 2026. The edition will make its world premiere today at the Japan Mobility Show, marking another milestone in the enduring MINI-Paul Smith story.
