GoPlugable has officially selected Cork-based dynamic EV charging company Ohme as its home charger partner in Ireland.
Launched in 2023, GoPlugable serves as Ireland’s premier platform for locating, reserving, and sharing home charging points for electric vehicle (EV) drivers. Addressing the challenge faced by Irish EV drivers who lack convenient home-charging access, GoPlugable aims to enhance convenience and improve the nation’s charging infrastructure.
Irish owners of Ohme chargers now have the opportunity to become GoPlugable hosts, allowing them to earn money by sharing their home EV chargers when not in use. Additionally, Ohme customers can enjoy an exclusive offer upon signing up on the GoPlugable platform, with details accessible via the provided link.

“We are thrilled to announce Ohme as our official home charging partner,” stated Maebh Reynolds, CEO of GoPlugable. “As the fastest-growing smart EV charging company in Ireland, collaborating with Ohme aligns perfectly with our mission to facilitate the transition to greater EV adoption in all forms.”
David Watson, CEO of Ohme, echoed this enthusiasm: “GoPlugable is an exciting new venture in Ireland, promoting EV adoption and simplifying the switch for drivers. This partnership will not only allow Ohme customers to earn from renting out their chargers but also contribute to the expansion of the public EV charging network.”
Ohme’s advanced smart chargers integrate effortlessly with all electricity suppliers in Ireland, enabling automatic adjustment of an EV’s charging to leverage off-peak tariffs. For example, charging a 77kWh Volkswagen ID.3 from zero to 100 percent using an Ohme EV charger on SSE Airtricity’s Night Boost tariff* could cost as little as €7.34, providing an electric range of over 574 kilometers (WLTP Combined). Over a year and 10,000 kilometers, this translates to running costs of less than €130. Ohme also offers the option to charge during peak renewable energy generation, further reducing CO2 impact.
Ohme holds the position of official EV charger provider for notable brands such as Volkswagen Group, Mercedes-Benz, Volvo Cars, and Polestar in Ireland, and has collaborated with various partners including Donegal County Council and Iarnród Éireann. Recognized for its excellence, Ohme was awarded Fast Track Company of the Year at the 2023 UK Green Business Awards and Best Chargepoint Manufacturer at the 2024 Irish EV awards.
