South Africa’s electric vehicle market is on the verge of transformation, as iCAUR prepares for its highly anticipated local debut in 2026. The brand is set to make a statement at this year’s Festival of Motoring, showcasing a portfolio that blends bold design, versatile technology, and adventurous functionality—positioning itself far beyond the role of a conventional EV manufacturer.
“2026 will be the year of choice and creativity,” said Shannon Gahagan, National Brand and Marketing Manager at iCAUR South Africa. “We are introducing a line-up that gives people the freedom to mix, match, and make life their own. Our vehicles are designed with personality and individuality at their core.”
Leading the charge are iCAUR’s two headline models—the 03T and the V23. The 03T merges sleek urban crossover proportions with muscular SUV styling, built on a pioneering aluminium structure that delivers both strength and efficiency. The V23, meanwhile, draws inspiration from rugged retro design, enhanced by highly adaptable interiors and tactile mechanical controls. With up to 24 interchangeable components, each V23 offers a deeply personal level of customisation, enabling drivers to express their individuality like never before.

Both models boast all-electric driving ranges of up to 500 km and come equipped with all-wheel drive capability, ensuring they deliver practicality as well as presence.
Looking ahead, the portfolio will expand with the arrival of the iCAUR V27 within the next two years. This future-forward model promises to build on the brand’s daring vision, cementing its reputation as a disruptive force in the local EV landscape.
At the heart of iCAUR’s design philosophy is versatility. Drivers can expect a smart cockpit experience, class-leading battery innovation, five-star safety, and an aesthetic language that fuses retro nostalgia with futuristic cyber design. The introduction of Chery International’s “Golden Range Extender” REEV technology across the line-up in 2026 further bolsters iCAUR’s appeal—delivering the sustainability of an EV with the assurance of long-distance practicality.
“South Africans are adventurous by nature,” Gahagan added. “iCAUR is about matching that spirit with vehicles that don’t just move people, but move with them. That is the journey we are inviting drivers to take.”
