Hampson Auctions continues to build on its upward trajectory, with the 9 March sale at Bolesworth Castle proving to be a resounding success. An impressive 80% of the lots found new owners, with the event’s star attraction—a stunning 1967 Ford Mustang once owned by football legend Thierry Henry—commanding the highest price of the day at £140,625.
This spectacular Mustang is one of a rare few officially licensed recreations of the iconic ‘Eleanor’ from Gone in Sixty Seconds. Instantly recognisable to fans of the cult-classic action film, the car carries the all-important official endorsement of Gone in Sixty Seconds producer Denise Haliki, complete with her signature inscribed on the dashboard.
Hot on the Mustang’s heels in the sale results was the blisteringly fast 2021 Audi RS6 Avant Carbon Vorsprung. Producing an astonishing 803bhp and achieving a sub-three-second 0-60 mph sprint, this high-performance estate was offered at No Reserve and sparked a bidding war before selling for £68,625. Meanwhile, a striking 1972 De Tomaso Pantera in vibrant yellow claimed third place, achieving a final price of £63,000.

Marketplace Initiative Already Benefitting The Joshua Tree
Hampson’s newly launched Marketplace premium online timed auctions—dedicated to supercars, classics, performance cars, motorcycles, and cherished registration plates—have already begun making an impact beyond the auction block. A portion of each lot’s hammer price is donated to The Joshua Tree, a Cheshire-based charity that supports families affected by childhood cancers.
The first Marketplace auction, held in January, raised £1,134.40 for the charity, and Hampson’s Managing Director, Zach Hamilton, recently presented the inaugural donation cheque. The next Marketplace sale is set to run from 28 March to 6 April, with entries now open at www.hampsonauctions.com.
A Stronger Team and a Bright Outlook for 2025
To support its continued growth, Hampson’s has expanded its team with three additional car specialists, a dedicated motorcycle consultant, and two new operations team members. This strengthened lineup ensures the company is well-positioned for further success in 2025.
Reflecting on the achievements of the 9 March sale, Zach Hamilton expressed his enthusiasm:
“I’m delighted with this result. An 80% sell-through rate is a tremendous achievement and a testament to our focus—established in 2024—on offering ever higher-quality vehicles. We had already bucked the national trend by showing steady growth last year, and it’s fantastic to have taken this even higher.
“It was heartwarming to present the first of many donations to The Joshua Tree, knowing that the funds will contribute to their invaluable work. With Marketplace gaining traction, these donations can only grow.
“Looking ahead, we’re excited for our second Marketplace sale later this month and our return to Bolesworth Castle on 4 May. With our expanded team, a strong start to our physical auctions in 2025, and Marketplace rapidly establishing itself, this year is shaping up to be incredibly promising.”
