The 2026 motorsport season at Goodwood promises to be a thrilling journey through automotive excellence, combining high-octane action with historical reverence, cutting-edge innovation, and unforgettable experiences. From exclusive track events to festival celebrations, the Goodwood Estate continues to set the benchmark for motorsport and car culture worldwide.
The Season Kicks Off: 83rd Members’ Meeting
The motorsport calendar ignites on 18–19 April with the 83rd Members’ Meeting, presented by Audrain Motorsport. Exclusive to the Goodwood Road Racing Club (GRRC), this opening weekend brings the Goodwood Motor Circuit to life with exhilarating on-track action and the much-anticipated Saturday night party, culminating in a dazzling firework display.
Following the success of 2025’s tribute to Ayrton Senna, the 83rd Members’ Meeting will celebrate the James Hunt era of Formula 1. ‘The James Hunt Years’ demonstration will showcase up to 20 of the most iconic Formula 1 cars of the 1970s, capturing the charisma, rivalries, and sheer spectacle that defined one of the sport’s most thrilling decades. Tickets are now on sale to GRRC members, who can also enjoy a host of year-round benefits by joining the club.
Motorsport’s Greatest Celebration: Festival of Speed
From 9–12 July, the Festival of Speed presented by Mastercard transforms the Goodwood Estate into the ultimate playground for car enthusiasts. The famous Goodwood hillclimb plays host to an extraordinary mix of machinery — from Formula 1 icons to cutting-edge concept cars and world-class Superbikes.
The 2025 Festival of Speed celebrated 75 years of the Formula 1 World Championship, welcoming legends such as Sir Jackie Stewart, Nigel Mansell, and Alain Prost. Beyond F1, motorsport greats including four-time World Superbike Champion Carl Fogarty and five-time Le Mans winner Derek Bell have made their mark. For those seeking innovation beyond the track, Future Lab presented by Randox explores advancements in AI, robotics, and mobility, highlighting ideas shaping a better tomorrow. With events ranging from the elegance of the Cartier Style et Luxe Concours d’Elegance to adrenaline-fuelled track demonstrations, the Festival of Speed offers an unforgettable experience for every visitor.
The Grand Finale: Goodwood Revival
The season reaches its crescendo from 18–20 September with the Goodwood Revival, a captivating homage to motor racing’s golden age. Against the backdrop of the Goodwood Motor Circuit as it appeared between 1948–1966, the event combines breathtaking classic cars, magnificent post-war aircraft, live music, and vintage fashion for a fully immersive experience.
In 2025, the Revival paid tribute to Jim Clark, including a memorable moment on the Pit Straight where sheep honoured his farming roots, while also celebrating the 75th anniversary of the Volkswagen Type 2 Split Screen, featuring a unique livery by American artist Daniel Arsham. The 2026 Revival promises to continue this tradition of blending history, spectacle, and motorsport passion.
Beyond the Track: Goodwoof and Qatar Goodwood Festival
Goodwood isn’t just for motorsport fans. On 16–17 May, Goodwoof returns to The Kennels, celebrating rescue dogs with expert talks, exhibitors, and four-legged fun for the whole family.
The summer season also sees the Qatar Goodwood Festival presented by Visit Qatar from 28 July – 1 August, a highlight of the flat racing calendar. Across the year, Goodwood Racecourse hosts 19 days of racing, including the Season Opener, May Festival, Three Friday Nights, August Bank Holiday Racing, and the Season Finale, with tickets going on sale throughout the year.
A Season of Passion and Innovation
From the adrenaline of historic racing to the elegance of classic car celebrations, Goodwood’s 2026 season embodies everything that defines motorsport and automotive culture. Speed, style, and history converge to create a calendar of events that no enthusiast will want to miss.
