Modena, 8 April 2025 – Maserati’s resurgence in closed-wheel racing continues at full throttle. After a victorious 2024 debut, the Maserati GT2 – a purebred racing machine born of Trident DNA – enters the 2025 season with an extended competitive horizon and a new toolkit to match. Introducing the Endurance Pack: a suite of enhancements that equips the GT2 for the rigours of long-distance racing, unlocking eligibility for a broader range of championships and elevating its adaptability on the international motorsport stage.
The announcement comes during the inaugural week of the 2025 GT2 European Series by Pirelli, where Maserati Corse is making headlines once again. With its enhanced configuration, the GT2 now caters not only to short, adrenaline-fuelled sprint races but also to the strategic, high-stakes world of endurance competition.
A Competitive Edge for the Long Haul
Maserati Corse’s newly unveiled Endurance Pack is more than a nod to versatility – it’s a declaration of intent. Engineered after rigorous track testing, the package includes:
- Endurance-specific lighting kits
- Electroluminescent number panels
- Additional performance and telemetry sensors
- Brake bell system upgrades
- Cabin UV lighting for improved night-time visibility
These enhancements offer tangible advantages during long-distance events, improving night visibility, streamlining pit operations, and enhancing vehicle telemetry. The new components are crafted with Maserati’s signature emphasis on lightweight, durable materials, ensuring no compromise on performance.
“The Endurance Pack reflects our ongoing commitment to meet the demands of teams and gentleman drivers alike,” says Maria Conti, Head of Maserati Corse. “We’re not just building cars – we’re building racing experiences that reflect Maserati’s legacy of performance, technology, and passion. This evolution ensures our GT2 is ready for the world’s most iconic endurance races.”
Teams can purchase the Endurance Pack either as an optional upgrade for new vehicles or as a retrofit for existing GT2s. For added flexibility, the components are also available individually via Maserati Corse’s dedicated after-sales portal, allowing teams to tailor their setup for specific race formats or circuits.

A Trident for Every Track
The enhanced Maserati GT2 has already made its mark in both new and familiar arenas. In late March, the car participated in the opening round of the European Ultimate Cup Series at Le Castellet, fielded by TFT Racing. The #28 car, driven by Patrick Charlaix and Jordan Boisson, secured a string of podium finishes – including two outright wins for Boisson in Races 2 and 4 and a runner-up finish for Charlaix in Race 1. The performance solidified the GT2’s credentials in the GT Sprint Cup class, setting a high bar for the season ahead.
Le Castellet will also serve as the curtain-raiser for the GT2 European Series by Pirelli, taking place from 11–13 April, where Maserati will aim to defend its 2024 Am Class drivers’ and teams’ titles. The season will then traverse some of Europe’s most iconic circuits:
- Zandvoort (Netherlands) – 16–18 May
- CrowdStrike 24 Hours of Spa (Belgium) – 26–29 June
- Misano (Italy) – 18–20 July
- Valencia (Spain) – 19–21 September
- Barcelona (Spain) – 10–12 October
The Italian GT Connection
In an equally strategic move, Maserati GT2 has now passed the official eligibility tests for the ACI Sport Italian Gran Turismo Sprint Championship, held at Misano in early April. This development enables the car to compete in the GT Cup Class, courtesy of new 2025 regulations permitting non-single-make entries. With four double-header weekends on the calendar, each comprising two 50-minute +1 lap races, the series presents another valuable platform for Maserati’s latest racing icon.
Racing Forward
For Maserati, the GT2 represents more than just a return to racing – it’s a reassertion of heritage. With the introduction of the Endurance Pack and new championship opportunities, the House of the Trident is proving that its motorsport ambitions are anything but short-lived.
From gentleman drivers seeking pure driving pleasure to teams targeting podium glory across varied race formats, the Maserati GT2 now offers a comprehensive, competitive, and customisable racing solution.
The Trident is ready. The grid is waiting.
