Milton Keynes, 4 November 2022 – Ahead of fireworks lighting up London’s skies this weekend, ŠKODA has unveiled a 34ft mural in South London, offering free noise-cancelling earmuffs and chew-toys to comfort anxious dogs amid the bangs and flashes.
The car brand’s free gifting of noise-cancelling earmuffs and toys on 5th November, is aimed to help ease the most distressing evening of the year for pooches.
The dynamic billboard depicts the ŠKODA KAMIQ, a car described as “a driver’s best friend” due to its doggy attributes: playful, agile, good in small spaces and charming. To mark the mural unveiling, ŠKODA, together with local pet shop, Ayla’s Pet Store, will give away mix of different dog toys to calm and comfort pets this weekend.
The treats will be available this Saturday 5th November opposite hound hotspot, Brockwell Park, Dulwich Road in South London. However, there are only limited number of goodies, so dog owners will need to shout “Walkies!” soon if they want to get their paws on a pair.
A local dogwalker commented; “I know Bonfire night can be distressing for dogs and seeing my dog in fear makes me worry about him. For us to find this billboard on today’s dog walk has been really exciting and it’s a great way to acknowledge the impact fireworks has on dogs that people may not have thought about before. I might even get myself a pair of the earmuffs too!”
