Paris – The Fédération Internationale des Véhicules Anciens (FIVA) is marking a milestone year at Rétromobile 2026, officially kicking off the Federation’s 60th anniversary celebrations. This landmark occasion shines a spotlight on historic vehicles as living cultural heritage, underscoring their significance in both preserving the past and shaping the future of mobility.
Throughout the exhibition week, FIVA will present a range of emblematic vehicles, host official ceremonies, and dedicate key moments to the principles of preservation, authenticity, and sustainable heritage mobility. Among the highlights is the Mercedes 540 K once owned by Yashwantrao Martandrao Mukne, the young Maharaja of Jawhar. This exceptional vehicle is making its first appearance outside of India, offering visitors a rare glimpse into automotive history intertwined with cultural legacy.
The FIVA stand at Rétromobile is designed as a hub of engagement, not only for enthusiasts but also for media and industry stakeholders. A curated selection of press visuals—including vehicles, FIVA identity elements, and key portraits—is available via the “Press & Media Resources” section on FIVA’s Linktree, providing ready access for editorial coverage.
In addition to showcasing heritage vehicles, FIVA will announce key appointments and initiatives throughout the exhibition, reinforcing its mission to protect, preserve, and promote historic vehicles worldwide. Since 2017, FIVA has been a non-governmental partner of UNESCO, cementing its role as a global advocate for automotive heritage and cultural preservation.
