The third edition of the Supertech Torque Motoring Festival is set to ignite the Easter weekend with fuel-injected excitement as it returns to the renowned Dezzi Raceway in Port Shepstone. Presented by Supertech Torque, the official car club of the Supertech Group, the two-day festival promises a high-octane blend of motorsport spectacle, community celebration and show-stopping international flair.
Headlining this year’s event is none other than global stunt legend Didi Bizzarro, whose jaw-dropping feats have graced silver screens in Hollywood blockbusters like Fast X. But this time, South African fans get a front-row seat to a bold and unprecedented stunt: driving a BMW on two wheels around the entirety of Dezzi Raceway—a gravity-defying manoeuvre previously only attempted at the legendary Nürburgring in Germany.
“We’re proud to bring something truly world-class to South African motoring fans,” said Ubaid Tayob, Managing Director of the Supertech Group. “Supertech Torque, the Supertech Lifestyle, and our iconic events are created with our customer at the heart of it. There is heritage to what we do, and having a global icon like Didi Bizzarro attempt a stunt of this magnitude on our home turf is an exciting moment for the Supertech Torque Motoring Festival. It speaks to passion, precision and performance that define our community, and we can’t wait to share that energy at Dezzi Raceway.”
With a legacy of showmanship and engineering precision, Bizzarro is well-equipped to rise to the challenge. Speaking about the upcoming feat, he expressed his eagerness to harness the power and agility of a BMW, hinting that the BMW M2 or M4 would be his ideal partner on the track.
“It would be a dream to do it with the new BMW M2 or BMW M4,” he said. “Apart from welding the differential and adding a kill switch, the car will remain mostly stock. We’ll rely on driving skill rather than extensive modifications.”
As a longtime BMW enthusiast, Bizzarro says the choice of car is no accident. The rear-wheel-drive dynamics and finely tuned responsiveness of BMW’s performance models offer the balance and feedback essential for precision stunts.
“There’s a raw, direct connection between the driver and a rear-wheel-drive BMW,” he added. “You feel everything, and that’s exactly what I need for this stunt.”

The Italian daredevil has been rigorously training in the run-up to the festival, focusing on core elements like balance, speed modulation, and emergency recovery techniques. Even with a portfolio of complex and risky stunts under his belt, Bizzarro treats each attempt with the same unwavering dedication.
“Every stunt, big or small, demands precision—so I treat them all with the same focus,” he said. “I visualise the entire sequence, trying to feel the balance of the car in advance.”
While the spotlight will shine brightly on Bizzarro’s two-wheeled BMW spectacle, the Supertech Torque Motoring Festival promises something for everyone. From thrilling track experiences and local motorsport showcases to curated lifestyle zones and family-friendly entertainment, the event has grown into a must-attend fixture on the South African motoring calendar.
