In a heartfelt celebration of community spirit and meaningful giving, Rolls-Royce Motor Cars has presented a cheque for over £23,000 to the Aldingbourne Trust, its House Charity for 2024. The donation, raised through a series of staff-led initiatives at the Home of Rolls-Royce in Goodwood, reflects the marque’s enduring commitment to supporting transformative work in its local community.
The Aldingbourne Trust, based near the brand’s iconic headquarters, provides life-enhancing opportunities to more than 1,500 individuals with learning disabilities and autism. Its focus on social enterprise, skills training and personalised care helps adults with conditions such as Down Syndrome and autism realise their full potential and live enriched, independent lives.
A Unique Partnership, A Lasting Gift
Marking the occasion, clients from the Trust welcomed the Rolls-Royce team with open arms—and a truly touching surprise. As a token of gratitude, they designed and hand-built a model Rolls-Royce motor car using reclaimed wood, including materials generously donated by the marque itself. The intricately crafted piece is now a permanent fixture at Rolls-Royce’s Global Headquarters, a symbol of craftsmanship, appreciation and shared values.
Clients also enjoyed an unforgettable experience with a ride in the Rolls-Royce Cullinan, bringing the brand’s spirit of luxury and inclusion to life in a deeply personal way.
Andrew Ball, Head of Corporate Relations and Heritage at Rolls-Royce Motor Cars, shared:
“We were delighted to present a cheque for the funds raised in 2024 on behalf of Aldingbourne Trust, which is based very close to the Home of Rolls-Royce and does amazing work supporting people with learning disabilities and autism through social enterprise and training. We were extremely touched by their ‘thank-you’ gift to us of a model motor car, made in reclaimed wood by some of the Trust’s clients.
Our House Charity initiative has been running since the Home of Rolls-Royce at Goodwood opened in 2003, raising vital funds for a host of local charities and community organisations. We’re already hard at work raising money for this year’s House Charity, Dementia Support at Sage House, and are proud to uphold the long Rolls-Royce tradition of making a positive impact locally.”

Creating Opportunities, Changing Lives
The funds raised by Rolls-Royce employees will go directly towards supporting the Trust’s vital programmes. These include vocational training, woodwork and creative projects, and employment placement support—all designed to empower individuals to play active roles in their communities and workplaces.
Abigail Rowe, Head of Fundraising at the Aldingbourne Trust, expressed her appreciation:
“We’ve thoroughly enjoyed working with the Rolls-Royce team, and we’re incredibly grateful for all their hard work and enthusiasm. This wonderful donation will make a real difference to so many lives. Together, we’ve shown how meaningful support can create lasting, positive change, and we’re truly inspired by Rolls-Royce’s commitment to our cause. On behalf of all those who will benefit from this generous support, a truly heartfelt thank you.”
Looking Ahead: Supporting Dementia Support at Sage House in 2025
Continuing a legacy that began in 2003, the House Charity for 2025 has already been announced: Dementia Support at Sage House in Tangmere. Located just minutes from the Home of Rolls-Royce, Sage House offers a pioneering model of dementia care by bringing together critical services under one roof. With fundraising already underway, the marque’s staff are once again demonstrating their unwavering dedication to community welfare.
Through initiatives like the House Charity programme, Rolls-Royce Motor Cars not only sets the standard for automotive excellence but also for social responsibility—one carefully crafted gesture at a time.
