LDV, a division of the global SAIC automotive group, is set to introduce its full range of passenger and commercial vehicles to the South African market. The lineup kicks off with the LDV T60 double cab pick-up, a model that has gained international acclaim, especially in climates similar to South Africa like Australia. The T60 is already being shipped to dealers in anticipation of its launch in May.
Ockert Conradie, General Manager of LDV South Africa, emphasized the brand’s immediate focus on the T60, while also preparing to introduce more models. “The T60 range is a global best-seller for LDV and has already proven its mettle in several markets. Our goal is to expand our offerings swiftly,” Conradie noted.
Following the T60, the D90 SUV is expected to arrive. This seven-seater SUV is renowned for its robust performance, featuring a 160 kW bi-turbo diesel engine, an 8-speed automatic transmission, and an intelligent all-terrain response system. The upcoming new-generation D90 will boast modern engine technology, a multi-zone climate control, a JBL-tuned sound system, and up to three differential locks for 4×4 models, enhancing its appeal.

Additionally, the G90 MPV is set to redefine luxury in the MPV segment with features like independently adjustable rear seats, quilted leather upholstery, and an extensive multi-screen infotainment system. It will be available in configurations of seven or eight seats, with the seven-seater variant offering a unique captain seat setup.
For the commercial sector, LDV is finalizing a series of vehicles starting with the G10+ Delivery Van. Popular in Australia for its secure cargo space and robust engine, the G10+ is tailored to meet the needs of both large and small businesses with features like smartphone connectivity and a reverse camera.
All models will be supported by a comprehensive 5-year / 200,000 km factory warranty and a 5-year / 100,000 km service plan. “Our experience in markets like Australia has shown us that the South African market will appreciate the quality, durability, and support offered by LDV and our network,” concluded Conradie.
