LONDON, 16 JANUARY 2026 – The Collecting Group is set to return to Rétromobile Paris from 28 January to 1 February 2026 with a carefully curated selection of collector cars, marking seven years since the launch of Collecting Cars at the iconic show in 2019. This milestone celebration comes on the heels of a record-breaking year for the platform, reflecting its growth and influence in the global collector car market.
A Record Year for Collecting Cars
2025 proved to be a landmark year for Collecting Cars, with total annual sales surpassing $320 million (€275 million), a 12% increase on the previous year. Over 4,500 vehicles were sold worldwide, with the average sale price rising 11% to approximately $83,000 (€71,000). Growth in Europe was particularly striking, with French sales up 50%, Italy 44%, and Germany 37%.
Among the notable sales were public auctions of the Ferrari SF90 XX Spider, Porsche 992 S/T, and Aston Martin V12 Speedster—vehicles that captured collectors’ imaginations and set new benchmarks for high-value transactions. The introduction of Sealed Bids last year also offered a fresh, confidential avenue for buyers seeking discreet, premium acquisitions.
Showcasing Modern Motorsport Excellence
Headlining Collecting Cars’ Rétromobile stand will be a Porsche 911 GT3 R Rennsport, one of only 77 built. This pinnacle of Porsche’s motorsport-inspired engineering houses a naturally aspirated 4.2-litre flat-six producing 620PS (611bhp) and weighs just 1,240kg, exemplifying the combination of precision engineering and collectible rarity that defines the brand.
The display will also feature a Porsche 964 Carrera Cup, celebrated for its analogue purity and racing pedigree. As a factory-built competition model from one of Porsche’s most revered generations, the 964 Carrera Cup continues to attract enthusiasts and collectors seeking genuine motorsport heritage. Additional consignments will be unveiled closer to the show, promising a stand brimming with modern classics, supercars of cultural significance, and historically important competition cars.
Global Reach and Career Opportunities
Edward Lovett, Founder and CEO of The Collecting Group, commented: “Returning to Rétromobile with these cars feels like a fitting way to mark seven years since Collecting Cars began. They reflect the eras, genres, and quality of presentation that thrive on our platform, and following a record year for us in 2025, this is the perfect time to highlight our incredible reach across global markets.”
In addition to connecting buyers with exceptional vehicles, Collecting Cars will also be promoting career opportunities via a second exhibition stand dedicated to recruitment, allowing prospective talent to explore roles across the company’s growing global footprint.
Watch Collecting Joins the Celebration
Sister platform Watch Collecting will also be present at Rétromobile, highlighting an array of sought-after timepieces. Launched in 2021, Watch Collecting has grown rapidly, surpassing 6,000 watches sold and generating over $130 million (€115 million) in transaction value, demonstrating The Collecting Group’s expertise beyond cars.
Looking Ahead
As Collecting Cars and Watch Collecting return to Rétromobile, the focus remains on curating exceptional consignments, expanding global reach, and delivering trusted, engaging experiences for collectors worldwide. Attendees can visit the main Collecting Cars stand in Pavilion 7, Aisle 7.3, Stand G156, with the recruitment stand at Stand J078, from 28 January to 1 February 2026.
