The unmistakable charm of vintage motorsport will once again come alive as the Goodwood Revival returns from Friday 18 to Sunday 20 September 2026, with a thrilling race schedule confirmed and two beloved classics making their way back to the grid.
Fans can expect a weekend steeped in nostalgia, style, and the sound of roaring engines as historic machines take to the famous Goodwood Motor Circuit for fifteen fiercely contested races. Early bird tickets are now available at goodwood.com, offering motorsport enthusiasts a chance to secure their spot for one of the most anticipated events on the classic racing calendar.
A Return to Tradition
The Stirling Moss Memorial Trophy will make a welcome return to its traditional Friday evening slot, setting the tone for the weekend with a dazzling display of elegance and endurance. This 60-minute, two-driver contest brings together some of the world’s most valuable and iconic pre-1963 GT cars, from the Jaguar E-Type and Aston Martin DB4GT to the Ferrari 250 SWB.
Saturday and Sunday will continue the momentum, with a mix of wheel-to-wheel battles that celebrate motorsport’s golden eras—from the thundering saloons of the 1960s to the agile open-wheel racers of the 1950s.
Highlights of the 2026 Revival
The Barry Sheene Memorial Trophy will pay tribute to two-wheeled racing heritage with 500cc Grand Prix motorcycles from up to 1960, each raced by two riders across the weekend. Meanwhile, the Whitsun Trophy, renowned as the fastest and loudest race of the Revival, will see sports-racing prototypes unleashed for a spectacular 25-minute showdown.
The St Mary’s Trophy presented by Motul promises one of the weekend’s fiercest spectacles. Production-based saloon cars from 1960 to 1966 will battle for honours in two races, with Saturday’s contest featuring a line-up of celebrity guest drivers.
Two much-loved races will make their comeback for 2026: the Brooklands Trophy, returning for the first time since 2021 to showcase pre-1939 sports cars; and the Lavant Cup, celebrating the glamour of 1950s Ferrari and Maserati sportscars in a breathtaking display of Italian heritage and power.
Other Revival staples will include:
- Goodwood Trophy – Grand Prix and racing specials from 1930–1951 in a high-octane 20-minute duel.
- Glover Trophy – Grand Prix cars from 1961–1965 evoking Formula 1’s formative years.
- Sussex Trophy – Elegant 1950s sports cars like the Lotus 15, Lister-Jaguar Knobbly, and Jaguar D-Type.
- Chichester Cup – Rear-engined Formula Juniors once driven by future Formula 1 stars.
- Freddie March Memorial Trophy – A tribute to the Goodwood Nine Hours of the 1950s, with legendary racers such as Jaguar C-Types and Aston Martin DB3Ss.
- Royal Automobile Club TT Celebration – The Revival’s crown jewel, a 60-minute two-driver contest recreating the legendary RAC TT races of the early 1960s.
- Richmond & Gordon Trophies – Front- and rear-engined 2.5-litre Grand Prix cars from 1952–1960, representing a pivotal period in racing history.
