Toyota Gazoo Racing SA (TGRSA) remains a steadfast supporter of Bradley Cox, as he vies for the 2024 rally-raid championship title. Bradley, the progeny of famed Dakar racer Alfie Cox, has rapidly ascended the ranks of motorcycle racing. Before even reaching 20, he had clinched the National Enduro Championship, secured three Off-Road Championships, and won five Motocross titles. By the age of 27, Bradley had already amassed a total of ten championship titles.
Having honed his skills in Europe, Bradley returned to his roots in KZN, South Africa, to further his career in rally-raid racing. He has participated in numerous international events, including the prestigious Dakar Rally. Competing in the Rally2 category, Bradley’s performance at the Dakar has seen ups and downs, with a notable 13th overall finish in the 2024 race and a third-place podium in the Rally2 category.
For the current year, Bradley is contending in both the SA Cross-Country Championship and the World Rally-Raid Championship (W2RC). The recent 2024 W2RC event, the BP Ultimate Rally-Raid in Portugal and Spain, saw him finish eighth overall and first in the Rally2 category, positioning him just three points shy of the championship leader.

Bradley expressed his ambitions clearly, stating, “My goal is to fight for the W2RC title this year, and I’m right up there with the leaders. I’m really proud to be able to represent TGRSA, which is one of the strongest brands in rally-raid racing. Their continued support over the past two years has been invaluable and motivates me to push harder in my quest for the championship.”
Glenn Crompton, Vice President of Marketing for Toyota SA Motors, commended Bradley’s skills and determination: “Bradley Cox has exceptional talent and skill, and his determination and passion perfectly align with our TGRSA mantra. We are supporting the best young talent in South Africa, with the aim of him achieving a KTM factory ride in the future.”
Bradley Cox’s journey is not just a testament to his personal resolve but also highlights the vital role of strong support systems in nurturing sporting talent to reach global arenas.
