In a moment steeped in prestige and performance, Aston Martin’s long-awaited Valhalla supercar has made its global public dynamic debut — fittingly, on the electrifying streets of Monte Carlo ahead of the Monaco Formula One® Grand Prix. Driven by none other than two-time Formula One® World Champion Fernando Alonso, this monumental unveiling represents more than a showcase; it’s a statement of Aston Martin’s ambitions for the future of performance motoring.
A Historic First: From Static to Stunning
Until now, the Valhalla has been seen only in static displays — a sculpture of what was to come. But on Friday, May 23rd, the supercar sprang to life in front of a global audience. Wearing a striking AMR25 race car-inspired Podium Green and Lime Green livery, Alonso unleashed the Valhalla through Monte Carlo’s legendary corners — from Casino Square to the shimmering Tunnel — bringing the brand’s 112-year legacy roaring into a new era.
Engineered by Excellence: F1® Technology for the Road
What sets Valhalla apart isn’t just its beauty or badge — it’s the depth of Formula One® technology underpinning it. Developed in close collaboration with Aston Martin Performance Technologies (AMPT), the consulting division of the Aston Martin Aramco Formula 1® Team, Valhalla benefits from cutting-edge expertise in dynamics, aerodynamics, and materials.
The result is a machine engineered for duality — road civility with race-bred ferocity. Valhalla delivers a formidable 1079PS and 1100Nm of torque, courtesy of a bespoke 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 flat-plane crank engine, mated to three electric motors. This plug-in hybrid (PHEV) powertrain enables a blistering 0–100 km/h time of just 2.5 seconds and a top speed of 350 km/h (217 mph) — numbers that aren’t just impressive, but defining.

Fernando Alonso: “Valhalla Delivers the Emotion”
Alonso, who has been embedded in the development process over the past 18 months, didn’t just drive the Valhalla — he endorsed its character. “Unveiling Valhalla’s dynamic capability to the world at the Monaco Grand Prix weekend is a fantastic moment for both myself and the brand,” said the F1® champion. “It delivers all of the raw feelings and emotions you look for when behind the wheel of a car like Valhalla. It’s not just about outright power — it’s the emotion, the connection, the soul.”
A Landmark for Aston Martin
CEO Adrian Hallmark described the Valhalla as a convergence of engineering ingenuity and design freedom. “The extreme performance and unprecedented dynamic bandwidth that distinguishes Valhalla from its rivals presented many new opportunities throughout its development,” Hallmark noted. “To witness the culmination of that work on such an iconic stage is a moment of immense pride.”
A Supercar of Many Firsts
Valhalla isn’t merely a new chapter — it’s an entirely new volume for Aston Martin. It’s the marque’s:
- First series production mid-engined supercar
- First plug-in hybrid vehicle
- First production car with dedicated EV-only range
- First to feature the new 8-speed Dual Clutch Transmission (DCT) integrated with an E-diff
- First to adopt twin front axle motors for torque vectoring and AWD performance
These innovations push Valhalla to the edge of what’s possible in modern performance, aligning Aston Martin with the next generation of electrified supercars without compromising on heritage or driving engagement.
The Road Ahead
With just 999 units planned, Valhalla is as exclusive as it is exhilarating. Deliveries are slated to begin in H2 2025, giving collectors and enthusiasts alike something truly rare to look forward to — the convergence of Formula One® intelligence and Aston Martin soul, in a vehicle engineered to dominate both road and track.
In Monaco, where legends are made and champions are crowned, Aston Martin Valhalla has made its presence known. And if its debut is any indication, the future of ultra-high-performance motoring is not only electrified — it’s unmistakably Aston Martin.
