LONDON, UK (24 July 2025) – In a bold step towards redefining the electric driving experience, Nissan has unveiled its all-new Nissan Charge app — a powerful, user-friendly digital platform designed to make EV charging more accessible, seamless, and intelligent than ever before.
Developed in partnership with Octopus Energy, the UK’s leading energy provider, the app integrates Octopus’s award-winning Electroverse technology to give drivers instant access to over 1 million public charging points across Europe. From fast-charging stations to convenient urban plug-ins, Nissan Charge now covers more than 1,200 charging networks, including major players such as IONITY, Allego, Aral pulse, and TotalEnergies.
Available now on the Apple App Store and Google Play Store, the new Nissan Charge app isn’t just an upgrade — it’s a complete rethink of how drivers interact with public EV infrastructure.
A Smarter Way to Charge
With 500 new charge points added every day, Nissan Charge is more than a directory — it’s a dynamic gateway to smarter EV travel. Drivers can quickly locate chargers based on real-time availability, charging speed, and plug compatibility thanks to an intuitive, filter-rich interface.
Integrated dynamic pricing insights help users make informed decisions, while a fresh, streamlined onboarding process means setting up an account — and pairing a free Nissan Charge card — can be done in minutes.
Adding a payment method like Google Pay or Apple Pay also ensures users are ready to charge as soon as they plug in, removing friction from the experience.
A Seamless Partnership with Electroverse
For the first time, Octopus Electroverse’s technology has been embedded into another brand’s charging ecosystem. And for Matt Davies, Director at Octopus Electroverse, Nissan was the ideal partner:
“As EVs become mainstream, drivers want a charging experience as smart as their vehicle. By bringing our cutting-edge technology into the Nissan Charge app, we’re delivering the best of Electroverse – simple access to 80% of all chargers across Europe, money-saving discounts, and quick, hassle-free payments.”

Powering the EV Future
Nissan’s new app is more than a customer convenience — it’s a strategic milestone in the brand’s wider electrification journey. From the flagship EV36Zero manufacturing hub to the highly anticipated next-generation LEAF and MICRA, the brand continues to push boundaries in sustainability and innovation.
According to Soufiane El Khomri, Director at Nissan Energy:
“The new Nissan Charge app is an important step in our mission to make electric driving seamless and accessible. It aligns perfectly with our vision for a fully connected energy and mobility ecosystem.”
Upcoming additions to the app will further strengthen this ambition, including Plug & Charge technology for automatic authentication and billing at compatible stations, and Vehicle-to-Grid (V2G) integration — allowing EV owners to contribute to grid stability and lower their home energy costs by feeding power back during peak demand.
Connected, Convenient, and Customer-Centric
With the new Nissan Charge app, the brand is delivering a cleaner, smarter, and more connected charging experience — one that not only keeps pace with the demands of modern electric mobility, but actively shapes the future of it.
For Nissan drivers, the road ahead just got a lot more electrified — and a whole lot easier to navigate.
The new Nissan Charge app is now available to download via the Apple App Store and Google Play Store.
