BICESTER, UK – 20 February 2025. The Polestar 4, the luxury SUV coupé from the Swedish electric performance marque, has emerged victorious in the highly competitive Executive Car category at the UK Car of the Year Awards, cementing its status as a groundbreaking EV in the premium segment.

Blending Scandinavian elegance with cutting-edge technology, the Polestar 4 continues the brand’s mission of redefining electric mobility. This D-segment SUV coupé breaks conventional design norms with its radical omission of a rear window—an innovation that enhances rear occupant space, comfort, and headroom. Instead, an advanced digital rear-view mirror provides an uninterrupted, ultra-clear field of vision, significantly improving night-time visibility.

The Polestar 4 is not only an aesthetic and technological triumph but also a leader in sustainability. Boasting the lowest carbon footprint of any Polestar to date—measured at just 19.4 tonnes CO2e—the vehicle incorporates an array of environmentally responsible materials. The distinctive Tailored Knit upholstery, crafted from 100% recycled PET bottles, is produced using an innovative 3D-knitting technique that eliminates waste while ensuring a premium feel.

Polestar 4 Triumphs In Uk Car Of The Year Awards

Under the hood, the Polestar 4 delivers exhilarating performance, available in both single- and dual-motor configurations. The most potent variant produces an impressive 536 bhp, achieving 0-62 mph in just 3.8 seconds, making it the fastest Polestar model to date. With a WLTP-certified range of up to 385 miles on a single charge, the Polestar 4 combines efficiency with uncompromising power.

John Challen, Editor and Managing Director of the UK Car of the Year Awards, praised the Polestar 4’s bold approach: “Daring to be different has really paid off with the Polestar 4. Its combination of innovative design, impressive performance, and quality materials throughout make it a very sought-after – and popular – EV.”

Echoing this sentiment, Matt Galvin, Polestar UK Managing Director, expressed gratitude for the accolade: “We are hugely grateful to the UK Car of the Year judges for honouring Polestar 4 with this award and recognising the car’s ability as a luxury, innovative coupé. Both private and fleet customers are providing excellent feedback about the performance, interior quality, and technology. The UK is an incredibly important market for our brand, and we look forward to welcoming guests to any of our nine Spaces across the country for test drives.”

The Polestar 4 is available to order now, with the Long range Single motor variant priced from £59,990 and the Long range Dual motor version starting at £66,990. With its forward-thinking design, exceptional performance, and commitment to sustainability, the Polestar 4 sets a new benchmark for executive electric vehicles.
