Modena, 20 February 2025 – The wait is over. After making its world debut at “The Quail” during California’s Monterey Car Week on 16 August 2024, the Maserati GT2 Stradale is ready to hit the road, with European deliveries set to commence in April. This highly anticipated model marks the return of the House of the Trident to the high-performance realm, bridging the gap between Maserati’s illustrious motorsport history and its exclusive road-going legacy.

From the Track to the Street: A New Chapter for Maserati

The road-legal version of the Maserati GT2, a track-ready powerhouse that made waves in the Fanatec GT2 European Series, was officially christened in Andalusia. A driving experience event in the heart of the Spanish countryside gave stakeholders and customers a firsthand opportunity to experience the car’s dynamic performance. Beginning in Marbella, the test drive route wound its way through the sweeping curves of the Parque Nacional Sierra de las Nieves before reaching the renowned Ascari Circuit near Ronda, a venue whose 5,425 meters of tarmac pay homage to the legendary Italian Formula 1 driver, Alberto Ascari, and Maserati’s historic racing heritage.

A Glorious Return to Racing Roots

Maserati’s motorsport pedigree runs deep, and it was always the brand’s intention to return to the track with the MC20 – the halo car that heralded the beginning of a new era for the company. The launch of the GT2 Stradale takes that vision even further, fusing track-focused performance with road-going comfort. Drawing on Maserati’s track-record success, the GT2 Stradale serves as the perfect tribute to the racing enthusiasts and private teams who drive the GT2 category forward, combining precision engineering with exhilarating speed.

The GT2 Stradale is not just a car; it is a driving experience, and one that is crafted to deliver the finest of both worlds. For the first time, a road car is born directly from the track. With racing DNA running through its veins, it’s designed to perform like a true champion both on and off the circuit.

Uncompromising Performance Meets Refined Luxury

Powered by Maserati’s extraordinary V6 Nettuno engine, the GT2 Stradale delivers an impressive 640 horsepower (471 kW) – a 10-horsepower increase over the MC20. This boost in power propels the car from 0 to 100 km/h in a staggering 2.8 seconds, making it the most agile rear-wheel-drive vehicle in its class. With a top speed of 324 km/h, the GT2 Stradale effortlessly blends the performance of a race car with the comfort and luxury expected of Maserati’s super sports cars.

Maserati’s commitment to precision and quality is evident in the creation of the GT2 Stradale, a car that is entirely “Made in Modena.” It embodies the company’s dedication to blending its two iconic worlds: the elegance and craftsmanship synonymous with the Maserati brand, and the relentless pursuit of racing excellence.

A Canvas for Customisation: The Maserati Fuoriserie Program

Maserati enthusiasts are given the chance to make the GT2 Stradale their own through the brand’s bespoke Fuoriserie customisation programme. For the exclusive driving experience event at Ascari, the car was presented in a series of unique liveries, showcasing the possibilities for personalisation. A dedicated pit lane at the circuit paid tribute to Maserati’s customisation world, with an adjacent lane telling the story of Maserati Corse and the car’s motorsport-inspired roots.

A Limited Production Milestone

The GT2 Stradale is a rare and exclusive creation, with only 914 units being produced. The special badge affixed to each car, bearing the “1 of 914” inscription, marks this limited production run as a tribute to Maserati’s founding year, 1914. This edition represents the culmination of over a century of automotive passion, innovation, and engineering excellence.

Santo Ficili, Maserati CEO, expressed the significance of the GT2 Stradale, saying: “From the road to the track and back again: moving from the racing GT2 to its road version was a natural step, to epitomise our brand’s performance. With the road debut of what is the pinnacle of our super sports cars, we have created a perfect platform for the customers of this car, which has also been lauded by the media. GT2 Stradale is 100% made in Modena, a mix of Maserati’s two iconic worlds, those of elegance and racing.”

The Future of Maserati Performance

Production of the Maserati GT2 Stradale began in December 2024 at Maserati’s historic plant in Modena. With a limited number of units available, this model is poised to become an instant collector’s item and a symbol of Maserati’s performance, luxury, and racing heritage. As it makes its way onto the roads of Europe in April, the GT2 Stradale will undoubtedly continue to capture the imaginations of driving enthusiasts and collectors around the world.

For those lucky enough to own one, the Maserati GT2 Stradale offers the ultimate driving experience – a seamless fusion of Maserati’s racing soul and luxurious refinement, designed for the road, born for the track.
