Collectors and Land Rover aficionados will have their eyes on Kelham Hall in Nottinghamshire this March, as a remarkable 2015 Land Rover Defender 90 Pick-Up, with just one owner and a mere 124 miles from new, is set to go under the hammer.

This extraordinary example, stored in a weather-tight barn and untouched by rain, offers a rare glimpse into the past, exuding the authenticity and rugged charm that has made the Defender a global icon. Scheduled for auction by H&H Classics on Wednesday 18th March, it is estimated to fetch between £50,000 and £60,000. Remarkably, it even retains its factory-applied dealer allocation windscreen sticker, underlining its pristine, near-new condition.

The 2015 Defender 90 Pick-Up is a standout in Land Rover history. Only 334 short-wheelbase ‘90’ Pick-Up TDs were registered with the DVLA that year, one of the last before the end of the separate chassis Defender production. This limited production run, combined with its deliberately “back to basics” specification, makes this particular vehicle a true collector’s gem.

Damian Jones, director at H&H Classics, expressed his enthusiasm: “We’re thrilled to be auctioning such an amazing Land Rover that has been lovingly kept in a weather-tight barn. It’s in almost untouched condition, despite being more than a decade old, meaning its lucky new owner has the tough decision of either completing the running-in process or preserving its ‘nigh on as new’ condition.”

Chassis number SALLDWRP7FA474446 sports non-metallic paint, cloth upholstery, steel wheels, and a manual transmission, reflecting the original rugged simplicity of the Defender. Despite its ultra-low mileage, it has been carefully serviced twice and regularly MOT tested, ensuring it remains in perfect running order while retaining its cosseted, barn-stored character.

Jones added: “This special Land Rover was commissioned by the vendor as a tribute to the Series 1 models he grew up with. It’s only being offered for sale because of his sentimental attachment to other Land Rovers on his farm. This is a wonderful opportunity to acquire a box-fresh, barn-stored Single Cab Pick-Up that is sure to attract global attention from collectors and enthusiasts.”

The Defender will be one of dozens of lots available at the Kelham Hall sale. Vehicles can be viewed from midday on Tuesday 17th March and from 9am on Wednesday 18th March, with the auction commencing at 12pm. Interested bidders can participate in person, online, via telephone, or through commission bids. Full details and registration are available at www.handh.co.uk.
