Ben Cussons, Chairman of the Royal Automobile Club said, “Our eight categories are rich with exceptional individuals, organisations, events and achievements. Our independent, rigorous judging process has once again produced an outstanding list of finalists which reflect the breadth and diversity of the British historic motoring world. It was not easy to select the shortlists, and it will be even more difficult for the panels of judges to whittle them down further to decide the winners.
“I would like to thank the members of the judging panels for their expertise, integrity and sheer hard work, all of which is invaluable. We look forward to celebrating together at the Awards on Thursday, 23 November!”
At the Awards’ evening, the Club will also present the Royal Automobile Club Lifetime Achievement Award, in recognition of an individual who has made a remarkable contribution to British motoring and/or motorsport heritage over many decades.
The Awards are a continuation of the Club’s 126-year pedigree in recognising motoring accomplishments.
Today, the Club presents a series of internationally recognised accolades, including the Segrave Trophy, the Torrens Trophy, the Simms Medal, the Dewar Trophy and the oldest trophy in motorsport – the Tourist Trophy.
